Moms of 6, 7, 8 month olds: Check In
What are your babies up to? What are their schedules?
Shane is 6.5mo. Here's his schedule:
5am: wake up/ bottle 7am: breakfast w/ brothers (1 pouch of food) 8am: bottle 11am: 8oz bottle 1pm: lunch w/ brothers (yogurt) 2pm: bottle 5pm: bottle 615pm: dinner (1 pouch of food) 8pm: bottle then bed
Lately he's been waking up a few times during the night. It's torture. We go and check on him to make sure his leg isn't stuck in the stupid crib. Our ped said we definitely should not feed him at night. Hopefully he starts STTN again soon. Yawn.
We really haven't figured out naps yet. He sleeps periodically throughout the day, but doesn't have a set "schedule" for naps.
He loves real food. I get the Plum Organics pouches from BBB and he sucks down an entire packet in no time. So convenient when we're out for the day!
This baby is such a happy baby. Loves his toys. Loves watching his brothers play. We've started standing him up at his activity table and holding him up to play. He loves it. No crawling yet, but getting close. He can easily get from 1 side of the room to the other quickly though....he just rolls all over.
I love this age!!!!!

Re: Moms of 6, 7, 8 month olds: Check In
see my post way down on the page about naps! hahah
Hudson and Stella are 7.5 months (6 adjusted)
We're having major schedule problems! 6am - BF and back to bed 730 or so - wake up, but usually go back to sleep for 30-60 minutes before bottle 10am - bottle of BM 11am - baby food 11:30 or 12 - nap 2pm - bottle of BM 3pm - baby food 3:30 or 4 - nap 5pm - BF 730pm - BF 8 or 8:30 - bed
Hudson is up every 1.5 hours at night. He's just ridiculous hahah
Stella does okay during the night but is up at least 2x.
They love their baby food! I've been giving them little teeny pieces of things we eat at dinner too and so far they haven't really taken to that, but they love their purees!
Stella is crawling and pulling up to stand. Hudson is almost crawling. He can get into sitting position on his own too. He's my lil chunker!
They both loooove their big brother. Stella loves to try to play with all of Logan's cars and trucks. Hudson loves anything with music.
I'm a sleep-deprived zombie

Moms of 6, 7, 8 month olds: Check In
Kevin is 6.5 mos.
His schedule somewhat varies. He gets up around 5:30am and has a bottle. He may take a short nap after that.
He eats breakfast at 7:30 - we just started him on yogurt this weekend.
He has a bottle in between breakfast and nap.
He goes down for a long nap in the morning around 9-9:30, usually an hour and a half - 2 hrs.
He has lunch around noon - a fruit and a veggie - he usually eats the whole thing.
He has another bottle in the afternoon.
He goes down around 3pm for another nap, recently it's been on the shorter side.
He has dinner around 6pm - oatmeal and a fruit veggie combo usually, then takes a bath, has a bottle, and goes to bed.
He usually wakes up just once at night which is a DREAM compared to his big brother.
He loves playing with toys and putting things in his mouth. I started him on the wagon wheel things and arrowroot cookies this weekend and he loves them (although he makes a mess). He enjoys spending time with his big brother, taking baths and getting into things. He's not crawling yet, but, he really wants to move. He can sit up and stand on his own (you have to put him in the positions though - he can't go from laying to sitting or sitting to standing yet) and seems very frustrated that he can't move faster - he rolls a lot and has this inchworm move. I thought DS 1 moved early, this guy is going to have him beat!
He got his first tooth last week and the second one is on the way.

DS is a little over 6 months old....
8am - wakes up 8:30 - fruit or yogurt 9:30 - bottle 9:45 - nap ... normally a good 1.5 to 2 hours 12:30 - fruit or yogurt 1:30 - bottle Afternoon nap is a struggle....more like 2-3 half hour cat naps 4:30 - veggie - or may be napping 5:30 - bottle 6:30 - half hour cat nap 7:00 - veggie (if he didn't have it at 4:30) 7:30 - bath 7:45 - PJ's 8:15 - bottle 8:30 - bed - STTN
All the in between time he's either playing in his excisaucer, in his highchair with toys all over it, rolling around on the floor with the dog (lol), in his swing.

Re: Moms of 6, 7, 8 month olds: Check In
DS turned 8 months yesterday...
Normally was waking like 6/6:30, but has been waking early. I leave him til 6, then nurse him after diaper change, etc. 8am, breakfast-- cereal and some fruit 9:15 (after DD's school drop off), nap. 10:45-11:15: Wakes up, nurses 12: Lunch-- 4 oz veggie and 4oz fruit and puffs 2: Nurse, then nap 3ish: Awake 4:30: Dinner- 4oz veggie and 4oz fruit, puffs or baby mum mums 6: Bottle of BM, then off to bed by 6:30
Now that he's gotten puffs down, I need to explore other finger foods since he loves feeding himself.
He is also doing really well with learning to drink from a straw- he gets its, but I don't think he loves the water.
He's been crawling since 6 months, and has been pulling to stand for at least a month. I swore he stood for one second by himself today. He's an animal, but is so adorable and so so happy.

Re: Moms of 6, 7, 8 month olds: Check In
DD turns 7 months tomorrow. She cut both her bottom two teeth the day she turned 6 months, and started crawling and pulling herself up to stand last week... She is a maniac!!!
She is not on a very fixed schedule still I think a lot of it has to do with she doesn't sleep through the night and she is still kinda inconsistent with many things such as naps and how much she eats. Some days she is a big piggie, other days it's a battle to get her to take a bottle at all. I don't know if it's teething or what. Also she is in day care three days a week and out the door at 7:30, home with DH two days, with MIL one day, and with me one day. It's a little crazy!
IF she wakes up in the 6:00 hour, she has a bottle and goes back down. She usually wakes up for good between 7-8am. 7:30-8am 1/2 container of fruit and maybe some cereal or baby yogurt, puffs 8:30-9am bottle 11-11:30 lunch- veggie 12:00 bottle 3-3:30 bottle 4:30-5 veggie, puffs 6-6:30 veggie 7:30-8 bottle and down
But alas, she still gets up anywhere from 1-3x a night....

Re: Moms of 6, 7, 8 month olds: Check In
Ds is 7 mo old and he still plays in his tiny gyms most of the time, sometimes in his exersaucer. But he hasn't quite figured out how to jump and stand in his exersaucer well. He rolls a lot and does the inchworm thing too
Here's his schedule:
6:30 - wake up, bf 7:15 - 1st nap 9:30 - wake up, bf, play 11:30 - cereal + veggie 12 - bf, 2nd nap 2:30 - wake up, bf, play 4pm - bf, 3rd nap 5pm - wake up, walk outside 7pm - bf, cereal + veggie 9pm -bf, STTN
Ds started sleeping through the night around 3mo, regressed at 4mo bc we had to transition out of rnp and then went back to STTN at 5 mo. I used to comfort nurse and put him down when just before he would completely fall asleep. Then around 4 mo did gradual sleep training. Best thing ever!

Re: Moms of 6, 7, 8 month olds: Check In
DS turned 7 months today. His schedule is:
7am: 2 tbsp cereal with half a jar of fruit. 8am:6oz bottle 11am:6oz bottle 12-1: half a jar of fruit and half jar veggie 2-3: bottle usually he starts getting fussy around 4:30-5: so I'll give him 4oz bottle 5:30-6: cereal, fruit and veggie 7:30:6oz bottle and bed
Lately DS has also been waking up several times a night. Last night he was up at 10:45, 1, 2 and 4. He used to sleep through the night and now he's waking at night. It is driving me crazy. When I was home for the summer he slept through the night, now that I am back at work he doesn't STTN anymore.
He just learned to roll from back to front and is trying to sit up on his own. He was 2 months premature so he's a little behind others his age, but he is usually happy and loves to be outside!

Re: Moms of 6, 7, 8 month olds: Check In
8.5mos 6:30 up for the day, 6oz bottle 7am: breakfast (jar or eggs/pancakes/yogurt depending on time) 9:00: nap 10:30ish - up, next 6oz bottle 12pm: lunch (jar or table food, or mix of both) 2:30: bottle 4:30: dinner (jar or table food, depends) 7:00: 6oz bottle and bed
Crawling, starting to pull up, , can get from stomach to sitting position, eats every spec of dust or fuzz off the floor, says Mama, Dada, Nana and Boom (when something falls), shakes head no at appropriate times, starter to get better at the pincer grasp. Much more interactive and definitely gets angry when DC does not get their way, understands "no-no". Can drink from a sippy with straw, No teeth yet.
VERY VERY VERY happy and easy baby. So laid back, goes to sleep with no problem for naps and bedtime, just lays down awake and falls asleep within 5 minutes and that is it until morning.

Re: Moms of 6, 7, 8 month olds: Check In
My baby is 7 months already! and has 8 teeth (4 top and 4 bottom!). He's such a happy, smiley baby! He can sit, but isn't crawling yet. He loves sleeping on his belly, but I never put him that way! He gets 3-4 nursing sessions a day and 3 meals (he's a great eater!)
He wakes between 8-9 am. I nurse him and then he plays a little and I get his breakfast ready. Usually oatmeal with a fruit (I make his fruits and veggies).
He goes down for a nap between 11-11:30 and will sleep 1 or 2 hours.
Lunch around 2 pm (or when he wakes from morning nap). Usually about 4 ounces worth!! (Two containers of my homemade stuff, which is 2 ounces each).
I nurse him about 3 pm and he goes down for his second nap. At which time of day my older 2 come home and I do HW with them while the baby naps.
He wakes about 5, we have dinner at 6. After dinner he plays, hangs out with his older siblings and when he starts to get cranky, he gets his PJs on and I nurse him before bed.
He's in bed between 8:30 and 9 pm. sleeps through the night until 8-9 am. We're lucky!

Re: Moms of 6, 7, 8 month olds: Check In
My baby is 8 1/2 mos. Naps 3 times a day. Twice, if his midday nap is longer than one hour. I'm not a stickler for schedules so he just naps when he's sleepy, which turns out to be around the same time every day. :)
He is starting to crawl. Mostly just rocking, but he's a persistent little fellow. He stood up in his crib for the first time two days ago and has been going to bed later than usuall because he wants to keep practicing!
He cut his first tooth a month ago and the second came soon after (bottom two). His gums have been extra swollen lately.
He babbles a lot. Mostly "mama", "dada" and lately something that sounds like "doug" "dog" or "duck"..we have neither.
Shakes his head "no". Refuses to hold his own bottle. Self feeds with the organic puffs.
Sleeps thru the night, most nights. Sleeps in his own room, in his crib.
I can go on and on....
ETA: The past few weeks have been crazy between teething and now a cold, DS is up more often than I can count on some nights and then STTN on others.
