Babysitter info
we are going to need a babysitter to watch DD 3 days a week from 8 to 5 in our home. DD is 2 years old.
What's a fair hourly rate? Or is it better to pay a flat rate?
Also, can we ask the sitter to do some basic housework?

Babysitter info
10-15 an hour is a fair rate but if your going to ask her to do housework beyond the scope of just cleaning up after your DD all day then you should offer more since she would be a sitter/housekeeper.

We pay our sitter $14/hour to watch our twins.
She doesn't do any housework though just cleans up after them.
She really only has 1 to 2 hours of down time depending how long they nap so she cleans up all the dishes, toys etc and has her lunch
