Designing a bathroom is hard!
I can't decide what the heck to do! I'm thinking of leaving the layout mostly the same, just to keep costs down. But there are just so many different styles and I don't know what speaks to me. I'm pretty sure we won't go with the neutrals since our kitchen already has a similar look. I know DH likes a modern type look, and I kind of do, but it makes me so nervous! I like the idea of more classic looks like penny tiles and subway tiles. I'm trying to find some pictures that blend our two styles, and I find one or two things I like, but not enough of a whole picture to run with it. How did you decide what style to go with? Does every room in your house ave the same feel? This is frustrating!

Re: Designing a bathroom is hard!
I understand! I think you could do a completely different style than the rest of the house. I was very torn over the cararra marble look or a natural stone subway tile which is what I went with because it was cheaper and I will do my other bath in cararra when we remodel it. The tile store I used let me take home those boards which I found helpful and I stared at them for hours. I dont like modern either! Good luck!

Re: Designing a bathroom is hard!
To me, I did not want my bathroom to look the same as everything else in my house. I hated anything other than a white bathroom. It was hard because everything out there was natural looking stones or brown vanities.

Designing a bathroom is hard!
our house has a similar style a transitional crafstman - so modern touches with oversized square molding
for our master my only requirement was i wanted river rocks on the shower floor and i wanted a seat in the shower.
we then went with white subway tile with black river rocks. then we have a black stained cherry storage cabinet and vanity with double sinks. And ont he flat surfaces we used recycled glass - it is a very durable surface and pretty at the same time.
if i remember i will post pics tonight
