UK Moms - Peppa Pig toys $$$$
DS is currently in love with Peppa Pig! Just googled Peppa Pig toys and they are pricey! Seems as though they are all coming from UK. Are they that pricey there? Anyone coming to the states for the Holidays want to smuggle me a Peppa Pig rocket ship?! 
Has anyone seen them in our stores more reasonably priced?

Oh I could post the same question. My kids LOVE peppa pig. I think they are 6-35 L which when you convert it to dollars is almost twice the price. If and when they come here they will likely be 6-35 dollars. As that was our experience with Chuggington toys.

OMG this morning I went to B&M Bargains, which is like a Big Lots type store, and they had a TON of Peppa Pig stuff, they had the most adorable camper van set, and I almost bought it. I can't remember how much it was, but they did have a big section of Peppa Pig stuff.
Unfortunately, I really don't want to get involved with buying and sending it over, its too difficult, time consuming and expensive. I am sorry. Part of me would love to do it, but the other part just knows its too much of a faff...and its ££££££

I'm afraid it would cost more for us to send it to you than if you ordered online and had it mailed! Postage is so expensive!
But I think Peppa Pig is one of the titles being bought out potentially by US companies. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before the merchandising hits the US hardcore!

I wouldn't count on it, Charlie & Lola has been on here for a few years and it's tough to find stuff here but friends of ours in England said they have lots of stuff there when I asked them about 2 years ago.

Oh I'm not sure. We've only just discovered it on Nick Jr. And there are full episodes on youtube so now everytime I use my iPad, DS wants to watch Peppa Pig on my iPad!

I ordered a book and little figures of peppa pig from amazon ....I think the book was about 15....and the figures were 12...

According to The Daily Mail, Fisher-Price bought the rights to Peppa and should have American versions of the toys out by next year.
I'd never heard of Peppa (DD is only 6 weeks old) but saw this thread and DH and I have spent the last 15 minutes watching YouTube episodes. It's really cute stuff!

There is no Charlie & Lola stuff in the stores here, none at all. Charlie & Lola has had 11 series (two a year since 2005) and Peppa Pig has been on the air since 2004.
My friend used to work for Chorion (now gone bust) and they owned the rights to many of these characters, which is probably why they were sold to Fisher Price.

Well I sent and email to Fisher Price asking them if they plan on releasing the Peppa Pig toys in time for this holiday season. I will update the thread if and when they respond.

that would be great if Peppa toys were out over here as well! When I was in Ireland last year I bought a bunch of Peppa board books on clearance for a euro each and Peppa pjs for like 5 euro. I plan to stock up on more stuff when we go in December because DD is really into it now and it is everywhere in the stores over there. I love Peppa..the show is super cute!

Fisher Price responded and unfortunately it does not seem there will be Peppa Pig products for the 2011 holiday season.
"We're so glad you contacted us about your interest in Peppa Pig licensed products!
We’re sorry, but specific information is not available for any of our upcoming products until they are actually released. As of now, there is no information to indicate that any Peppa Pig licensed products would be released for the 2011 holiday season."

i just happened to catch an episode a couple weeks ago on nick jr, she was really cute!! DD loooves her and says peppa pig all the time! hope to see her stuff out soon, i'd def buy it but not for $$$$

Lol, so do mine. My favorite is Madame Gizelle, we love the Bing Bong song! Both my kids LOVE Charlie & Lola, as do I. The books are brilliant, Lauren Child is a genius!!
