Today's storm
I'm having so much anxiety about getting home in this coming storm later today. I'm working in Queens and it's so dark outside. Since getting pregnant, these kinds of things make me even more nervous because I want to make sure to keep myself and baby safe. Anyone else anxious about commuting in the bad weather?

Yea, it's supposed to be a bad storm later, with high winds, large hail, and downpours. They're talking about power outages and everything. It's on every news channel. Some stations are even saying a possible tornado. Hopefully they're wrong, but from the looks of it out here, something's coming!
I have to drive about an hour after work so i'm worried!

Oh man- I'm totally going into labor tonight with my luck! knock on wood.
Try to leave early so you don't get stuck driving in it- your work should understand.

Oh YUK. That last bad storm (was it last week) I stayed at work an hour later so I didn't have to go outside (I walk to work & take the subway).
I hope it's not as bad as they predict.

Oh lovely! I have an OB apt this evening. It's already looking bad where I am. Do we know what time these storms are supposed to end? Sound like I might need to put on the news.

There's supposed to be a first round of storms coming in the afternoon, but those aren't supposed to be bad. The bad storms are supposed to start in the early evening and go till midnight, i think.

I hate driving to begin with...hate it even more with bad weather, especially now that I'm pregnant! Whenever I can I try to get DH to drive me to work with weather like this.

Today's storm
It's supposed to be in our area by 3pm. The advisory is for the entire area but doesn't mean the severe weather will be where you are. The last storm trashed the north shore but did nothing but rain by my house. I wouldn't stress yourself out over it. Just stay indoors and you will be fine.
