picky eater at 15 months old...finger food help.
DS has become such a picky eater, we offer him everything and he eats like a little bird. He'll taste whatever we give him but then it ends up on the floor. I'm getting so stressed out having to offer him different choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner...He stopped jars months ago, just refused to eat them, would spit them out. My ped isn't concerned but this kid has to eat more than a few bites of a pancake, grilled cheese a couple of nibbles of chicken all day long. At his last well checkup he didn't put on any weight since the month before but he grew 1/2 an inch.
What are some foods I can try? He's not interested in me feeding him, so I need finger food help.I already give him....
Pancakes PB&J raisin bread with cream cheese bagels grilled cheese grilled chicken with veggies turkey burger spinach pie pastina egg omelet with cheese egg omelet with spinach
for dinner I'll try to give him whatever we are having but even that's a struggle.
All of the things I listed that he eats, he'll take a few bites and then lose interest. DH thinks I'm feeding him too often but he has a bottle of milk at 6am, breakfast at 8:30/9, lunch at 1, a snack at 4 and dinner at 7, then a bottle at 8:30.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ladies.

do you give him any fruit? bananas, strawberries, and blueberries are all a big hit with my DS. He also really likes edamame. It's the only veggie I can get him to consistently eat.

DD likes fish sticks and Dr. Praegers bites - have you tried those?

OMG I totally forgot to mention, he is a fruit junky, he loves fruits, all kinds but I try to limit fruit bc of the sugar. He likes apples, pears, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, mango, peaches, plums, melons, he will eat any and all fruit I give him.

I still give DD those organic fruit/veggie pouches here and there. I just hand it to her and she'll suck it down in record time. I always get ones with veggies in them (although they all seem to also contain fruit, I guess that's what makes it taste good) and I know at least she's getting some veggies. They are easy to take on the go. Not sure how helpful this is though since you say DS already eats tons of fruit.
DD usually also likes (in addition to what you listed) Yogurt Cottage Cheese Waffles Cheese Ravioli (with or without sauce) Meatballs Dr Prager's fish sticks Chicken nuggets Most veggies

agree with all the above....what about potato pancakes, perogies, veggie burgers, pizza, blintzes? we've also started using pureed veggies in many things to be sure DD gets her fill for the day (i.e. instead of pasta sauce)!

dd is 16mos and it's the same rotation: all fruits, pancakes, waffles, eggs with cheese, string cheese, pasta/meatballs, mac n cheese, pastina with veggies, any kind of chicken. i will make her strawberry cream cheese on wheat bread cut up, grilled cheese, mashed potatoes, baked potato, tater tots, peas, squash, corn, yogurt. snacks: goldfish, veggie straws, fruit
As long as i can cut this stuff up she will eat it. She really only lets me feed her pastina and yogurt.
