Wishing Well at shower
I was hoping you girls would help me with something... I am going to a baby shower next weekend and the invite says wishing well. I've never been to a shower that had one so I am kinda clueless. I googled what it was and a few of the sites said you don't put your name on the gift. Is that correct? I know this is in addition to the actual gift one brings, but she's now going to have all these little gifts and have no clue whats from who? To me it doesn't make sense, but if that's how it's done I will do it. Thoughts??

I would give a little gift, usually unwrapped. You could put a little tag on it if you want. I would get a cheap, small pkg of dipes, a pack of onesies/side snap shirts, board book, paci wipes, paci, travel wipes, bottle brush.. The ideas are endless lol

Re: Wishing Well at shower
my cousin had one.. she requested books for the wishing well. I didnt do one. I think we still put our name on it, and i wrapped it like i did the gift so they kinda looked alike. Usually wishing well is a small gift- like a teether, or toy, or book. have fun!!

Re: Wishing Well at shower
I usually buy something small, wrap it up, and throw it in.
I think the last time I bought pacifiers. The one before that, spoons.

I agree with everyone else. I'd bring something small and unwrapped, like a package of diapers in any size -- maybe a bigger size so they'll be useful later on -- or even a box of wipes or diaper cream, pacifiers, a package of bibs, etc... basically some small baby item that is useful but not usually given as a gift otherwise. A package of infant acetametaphen drops would be super useful and most mothers don't receive that as gifts, or gas drops. So good to have in the house before the baby is born. I kinda wish I'd had one, or even a book wishing well because I wish we had more books. But oh well. Have fun!
