If you have or will be delivering at Winthrop
Did you do any of the classes that includedthe hospital tour or did you do the tour separately. We do not want to do the classes and the number I have in for a woman that is on vacation this week.

i took classes at destination maternity (arranged through winthrop) and also did the tour. But they're all scheduled as separate things anyway so you can pick which things you want to do.

We did a child care class and a child birthing class when I was pregnant with DD#1. Now granted, it was 5 years ago- but I didn't really find anything that was overly helpful. I didn't think the child birthing class helped me AT ALL.

I don't feel we need them either so don't plan to take them. I was able to call a different number and schedule the tour.

i'm planning the same
i had no tour no classes. The nurse during my intake was so nice and taught me how to breathe and get through my contractions.. She even came to visit hours later after I had my baby. I had a great experience there.

I did the breathing classes from my OB's office, and it included her giving a tour at winthrop

I just did the tour which was helpful since last year they were doing a lot of construction on that part of the building. It took the guess work out of where to go when the time came to deliver my DS. I've been there since to visit friends and it's not nearly as chaotic, but I think doing the hospital tour is a good idea.

No classes through Winthrop, and we missed the tour. I went into labor the day before. Didn't matter; we found everything we needed.
