I have one, my brother had one. DH doesn't b/c he is a jr and it bothers him. BIL has one.
Our kids will all have 1 or 2 middle names. I am thinking of using my maiden name as middle name along w/DH's grandma's name.
As far as an argument goes, cant you just say, "B/c I want to!!!!"  Will that work on your DH? It never works on mine.

My dh and I both DONT have middle names. Our two kids do but the middle names have meaning only reason we really choose for our dc to have middle names. Other than that I dont think they are necessary I dont know anyone that actually uses their middle name when being introduced or when they fill out paper work its kind of just there LOL

It is easier to protect from identity theft and fraud if they have a middle name. That is a good reason you could use with DH. It is not necessary, but also I have seen college applications where two people had the same name and the middle name distinguishes them from each other.
Agreed. There was a lien on my grandparents condo b/c a man that shared Grandpa's name had a criminal history.
I have a middle name, DH has a middle, DD has a middle, and so will this baby!

I have a middle name, DH doesn't. We gave our DD one. I never thought of not giving her one, I don't really have any other reasoning...

I have a middle name and both DS and DD have one too. I always call DS his first and middle name when I am firmly asking him to do something for the 100th time We will give this baby a middle name too.

DH does not have a middle name and since we'd be naming the baby after him if it's a boy, then a little boy baby wouldn't get one.
I have one. If it's a girl, we will giving little girl baby my mother's name as her middle name.

I have a middle name (in fact my mom ONLY calls me by my middle name, yes she is a little strange lol).....my dad did not have a middle name and he's the only person I can think of who doesn't have a middle name that I know. For us, we have an extremely common last name, so a middle name is a must! My poor husband has to put his middle initial on everything or he gets mixed up with other people. I hyphenate using my maiden name, so I don't have the same problem!

Yup, both DH and I have middle names and will give LO a middle name.
Side note, I actually love my middle name, and am thinking of using it as a first name for our baby if it's a girl.

I have a middle name DH does not. We gave our DS a middle name because we both wanted to name him after someone in our family. His first name is after my greatgrandfather and his middle name is after my FIL. ( it also incorporated BOTH our family traditions. My side after a family member who passed away and his side after DH father)
