How on earth?
Do you pick a stroller? Has anyone found one they like ? Have you researched it? Etc. etc. There are just so many out there. Registering for a wedding was way easy than this !!!

LOL I told DH the same thing. I said I hope you know registering for the wedding was a piece of cake compared to what this is going to be.
I feel like for the bridal shower you just pick things based on looks and what is pretty. But for the baby, you have to actually read safety reviews.
We haven't "test drove" any of them yet lol, but I really like the UppaBaby vista

Re: How on earth?
i did my research on the internet first and found a few strollers with great reviews (on amazon) - then i went to BBB and tried the strollers out.
I ended up registering for the Graco UrbanLite: click here

Re: How on earth?
there are too many to choose from!! i first saw what ladies on here got and their reviews on them. Then i did my own research on the most popular ones pple bought. I think i narrowed my ideas down but i havent gone to the store yet to see the strollers in person. That might change my mind completely!

How on earth?
We picked our carseat first (Chicco key fit 30) based on safety ratings and then just went with the Chicco stroller that the carseat can be snapped into. It made the decision making process much easier.
We got the Baby Bargains book and it helped so much. We just went with items that got high marks for safety and quality, and that helped to narrow down all the choices a lot.

Re: How on earth?
i know, i found the task very daunting too.
My 1st step was knowing that i did not want a travel system. The reason why is b/c I was advised that they were big & bulky.
My 2nd step was to go Baby Bargins and see their top choices.
I knew that I wanted a nice size basket, fully reclining seat and a big canopy. I also know we are going to start TTC for #2 w/in a year of DC #1. So I needed a stroller that could be turned into a double. So w/all that combined, my best choice was Baby Jogger City Mini Select.
FYI, if you narrow it down to a few strollers, go on youtube and some strollers have demos posted and reviewed.
Good Luck!

Re: How on earth?
I started looking on BBB & BRU to see what has good reviews and which look nice to me. I have to look at my Baby Bargain book to compare.

How on earth?
I read like a billion amazon reviews! I also watched tons of videos on babygizmo.com (or on youtube from babygizmo). For my first, I wanted a Peg Perego because they're SUPER light -- I waited until I found one in great condition for a great price on Craig's List. Then I snatched it up! I ADORE it.
But now we're having #2 and I did more research and went all out and got a Britax B Ready. I must've watched 100 videos on it and other ones to decide. Now I missed the event this month and could've saved a few hundred dollars and I'm a little miffed about that. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I kinda wish I'd gotten the Peg Aria but I really do love my B Ready. HUGE SPLURGE.
DD does not sleep in a stroller. I have a great lightweight stroller that doesn't recline that I really like called the Kolkraft Lite Sport. But if your child does sleep in the stroller, it's no good.
We started with the snap n go. Made me know I wanted good storage under! I suggest starting there and not getting a real stroller until you know what you love and want and how much you'll be carrying the stroller.
The Britax B Agile can be used as a travel system and is awesome for a singleton.

Re: How on earth?
Im still not 100% set but it helped me to go to the store and push them around. For now Im going with snap n go and a combi twin b/c it seems light and moves easily.

Re: How on earth?
The baby bargains book has a whole section on what you want to look for based on your strollers needs. I was leaning toward the city mini based on baby bargains and also watched reviews on you tube. Baby Gizmo does great video reviews. So you can see how they function before you even go try them out in the store.

Re: How on earth?
I got advice from friends and my sister. So many people swear by the City Mini because it is light weight and easy to fold up. I decided not to register for the City Mini but instead settled on a BOB Revolution because I am a runner and need something versatile. I have tried them out a bunch in different stores and also got reviews from fellow friends!

Re: How on earth?
I haven't done any research, but 3 of my friends who had babies this year all bought the Uppa Baby Vista and love it. So, that will probably be a strong contender for me.
