I actually don't see why he'd be uncomfortable with you going to a male doctor. It's not like you're flashing random men on the street. It's a doctor. Might be worth its own discussion.

ITA!!!
remind him that he's the only guy for you and he's the reason that your male OB is needed in the first place.

I just can't help but think of when I went for my 2nd egg retrieval. The RE, the nurse, and the anesthesiologist was a man. In fact, I think the only other female in the building at the time was the receptionist!! It didn't bother me too much, because within 30 seconds of laying there with my vajay out in the open, the happy juice went through the IV and I was put to sleep. Chat Icon

To the OP, I have to agree with the girls. He's gotta get over this one. If YOU felt uncomfortable, then I'd say there are alternatives worth exploring .. but .. eh.. even then I'd probably tell you to get over it too!! Chat Icon

If he really has an issue with it then find an all female practice. My DH never mentioned caring about this and I've always had male Drs. It's not like I'm going there to sleep with them, they are deliving my babies.

That doesn't insure that the dcoctor delivering you will be a woman. It could be a male resident, etc
