I'm considering registering on diapers.com rather than BBB or BRU

They have a great thing where you can register for "diapers for a month" where pay $50 for one month worth of diaper credits for the recipient which I love.

U also get $50 back to use on the site for every $500 purchased from your registry.

Also, all registry items that anyone purchases for the gift recipient has free shipping. They have a huge selection and some of the things BRU has online only (people would save $$ on shipping for those items with diapers.com)

I definitely can't do BBB because for one there's not one close to me and for two, much of my family lives out of state in areas where they don't have one.

Is doing an online registry only a bad idea? Should I split it and do 2 registries? One at diapers.com and one at BRU?

If its your first pregnancy, I'd say also pick an in store place.... because there are people who won't shop online.......

I'm on my second pregnancy and I ended up with amazon.com it was cheaper than BBB and BRU, and I know mostly I will be using it for the completion discount.

what about target as well.. i would do both- online and store. Get the completion coupons.. Someone had recently told me that sometimes online, online stores can sell items at a cheaper rate if their expiration dates are older, such as in car seats. You wantthe more recent dateswhen getting these items.. good luck..

I would register both online and in store. A lot of people our parent's generation want an in store option. My cousins only registered at Amazon. I coordinated their gifts, but my mom said had I not been willing to do that she would have gotten what she wanted from a local store to her and not necessarily what the mom to be would have wanted because she would not have realized to look at amazon for a registry.

I'd pick a physical store too. Target is good idea. Not everyone is internet savvy.

I think its great for OOS family, but I would do a store as well. Just add a couple of things in the store, so people at least have the option.

For my wedding, i registered at amazon (and other places too) but i really regretted it.

Since you can't physically see the things you're registering for, i ended up getting some things that were not what i was expecting (bad quality, smaller than i thought they would be, etc) and i felt like it was too big of a pain to return these so i ended up keeping them. It was a waste, if you ask me.

If you do register on an online store, make sure you look at everything in person first and make sure the return policy is easy enough for.
