Help! Would you travel this far by train at 33 weeks?
We'd like to take my FIL on a little trip for his birthday. I'd also like my mom to join us, but in order for that to happen we'd have to postpone until I'm 33 weeks. I'd be taking a ten-hour scenic train ride and then spending three nights in Montreal followed by another 10-hour scenic train ride home at 33 weeks pregnant.
This doesn't seem like a big deal to me, it's not like I will be on safari or in some third world country, but my DH is a little bit nervous about the idea.
What do you all think?

If you are feeling good then I'd say go. But make sure you walk and move around during the 10 hrs.
At that point in my pregnancy I had blood clots and was not allowed to travel.
I would also run it by your Dr.

I went to Canada for 4 days when i was 35 weeks. We drove by car with my 14 month old, so the ride was a good 10 hours both ways. As long as you feel good and are up for it, i say why not go!

As long as you are feeling well and there are no concerns from you doctor, there should be no reason not to go. you can sit with your feet up on the train if you need it and still get up occasionally to walk around if you like. ENJOY!!!!

Ask your OB. Mine didn't want me taking more than an hour car ride after 34 weeks because he said it could cause preterm labor based on family history and other factors last pregnancy. I don't know if a train ride is sikmilar to a car ride in that way. At least with a train you can get up and walk around during it often and stuff. Always better to ask the doctor's advice than to just poll the crowd.
