UPDATE: restaurant close to Middle Island

I haven't been up in over 2 years and now I'm coming up for my step-fathers funeral. So I need some ideas of places to take my mom for dinner during the wake's break.

UPDATE: Thank you girls so much!!!! I took your advice & we arranged for cafe Amici for dinner between the wake. They were great, accommodating for last minute number count (literally as we were driving over). Thank you again..coming from out of state, this was a relief & one less worry.

I live in MI and there's not much.

Best bet for catered food is Alfredo's in Ridge.

For lunch or brunch, the Cook Room is fantastic, but it's a divey little train car diner with amazing food.

For dinner, Lombardis is as good as it gets without traveling. Johnny O's is a sports bar, but I hear the food is good.

Selden probably has the closest selection; Ruby Tuesday's, Nishiki Sushi, Caffe Amicis. Rocky Point has Spiro's, Sea Basin.

I don't mind a little drive....maybe 15/20min tops. So any recs would be GREATLY appreciated!
