Had a Scary Moment Today
I went to Greenport with DD and my two friends today. After being there an hour and walking around we went into a fudge shop and all of a sudden I didn't feel well. I put my purse down and leaned over with my hands on my knees. A minute later I went up to the counter to pay for DD's candy and I could hardly stand. After I paid I leaned against the glass and my friends said I completely lost the color in my face, my arms felt numb, my vision was tunnely and I couldn't hear anything.
The staff there was so nice, they got me a chair and put a cold press on the back of my neck. After 10 minutes I felt okay, but they were about to call an ambulance.
The rest of the day I still felt a little off but now I'm feeling okay. It was so scary!!!
I drank plenty of water but I think the dizzy spell was a combo of some other things.
Careful this summer everyone!!!!
ETA: I think I traumatized DD The rest of the day she kept asking if I was okay and saying, "I don't want that to happen to you again" Poor baby.

AWW!! That must have been scary (for both you and DD). Glad it passed and you didn't need to get whisked away on an ambulance. I'm sure it was a combination of all the walking/exertion, heat and dehydration.

It got hot very quickly this summer....it's going to be a long one! Take care of yourself and don't overdo it!!

Awww, so scary! Glad you are okay. Keep hydrated - even if you think you drank enough...drink MORE! And your poor, DD

That's scary! I'm glad you're okay. Something similar happened to me a couple weeks ago where all of a sudden felt really really hot, and broke out into a sweat even though it was freezing where I was because of the A/C. Then I started to feel like I was going to faint. But after a few minutes the feeling went away and I cooled down and felt better. And it hasn't happened again since so hopefully it won't happen again! Such strange things happen to our bodies during pregnancy!

So glad you're ok!!! Keep a water bottle with you at all times if possible....this heat really snuck up on all of us pregnant ladies, this summer's going to stink (literally & figuratively, the A train was already smelling ripe this AM lol)
