BTDT - gestational diabetes
if you have, or have had GD - did you have any symptoms, or was the diagnosis really out of the blue?

just diagnosed- totally out of the blue.. didnt expect it. Still blows my mind and even now still asymptomatic. im controlling it with diet.

I had zero symptoms. I (stupidly) thought it had to do with being overweight, which I wasn't so I never in a million years thought I would have it. Praying I don't have it next time around.

I'm glad I saw this - I'm 21 weeks and super thirsty and peeing a lot (more than before). I was nervous that I have GD - has anyone ever heard of these symptoms being related to GD?

Increased thirst is generally a symptom of regular diabetes, did you tak the test yet?

I know that's what made me nervous. I don't take the test for a few weeks

It was totally out of the blue for me, and luckily I was able to control it with diet. Hoping I don't have it this time around.

It was out of the blue for me and from what Ive heard it usually is. Sometimes you might see symptoms like excessive urination but that is a reg. pregnancy symptom anyway.

Nope. They're just another one of the fun parts of pregnancy. I went through liters of water when I was pg with DD and peed constantly. Can't wait to do that again with a toddler. Keep drinking the water though; it's good for you.
