Almost 24 weeks and no name
We have 5 or so boy names on the list we like, but nothing we truly love , nothing that really clicks . Funny I could come up with 20 girl names We love, but no boy names. One challenge is finding an "universal" name, since my family is overseas and it has to be easy for them to remember and pronounce too. Anyone else not have a name yet ?
Who knew it was going to be so difficult ?!

Re: Almost 24 weeks and no name
None of my 3 had a name before they were born. We decided once they were born. It's not easy.
Good Luck!

The first 2 names that popped into my head that I think would work were Alex/Alec or Nicholas.

Re: Almost 24 weeks and no name
We've been talking about name ideas and are keeping a list of our favorites, but we don't plan to decide on a name until our daughter is born.

Re: Almost 24 weeks and no name
I was the same way. DS didn't have a name until after he was born. My DH only liked Lucas and Ryan. I was fine with both but wasn't really in love with either. I know DH really loved the name Lucas so I just assumed that would be his name. Well, once I saw DS I just knew in my heart he was meant to be a Ryan and now it's my favorite name in the whole wide world. Try not to stress it too much... The right name will come to you in time!!

Re: Almost 24 weeks and no name
DD was called Baby Girl in the hospital because we didn't have a name for two days, so you're fine! We still call her baby girl as her nickname.

Re: Almost 24 weeks and no name
DH are also having the hardest time choosing a name. It's so difficult!
Every name we like is either a little nerdy, doesn't "match" our last name, or we can imagine a child with the name but not an adult. No fun at all!
And if we find out we're having a girl at our Level II tomorrow, we'll be even more screwed (boy names are easier for us, for some reason)

Re: Almost 24 weeks and no name
just shy of 32 wks, we are . I have a few girls names I love but DH doesn't feel the same and vice versa for him.
I have a few boys names I like and love, DH is out on all of them. He has one boys name, his grandfather's name, that he loves. I really like it too and would be honored to name my son after such a wonderful man but we are a little chicken to do it. Its a VERY, VERY ethnic name and I am concerned on how it will be received. Long story short....whatever sex it is, this babes probably won't have a name till after he/she is born.

Re: Almost 24 weeks and no name
I'm almost 33 weeks and we've barely discussed names. Just like my first pregnancy, DH thinks we still have plenty of time. Last time, he brought home a baby book when I was about 36 weeks and on bed rest. We came up with 3 or 4 names for each sex, but didn't decide on the name until DS was born. We have a girl name we both like, but haven't discussed a middle name or any other possible names. We really haven't discussed boy names at all. You're not alone.
