Do you eat certain foods with certain utensils?
I can only eat soft serve ice cream with a plastic spoon. I can't bring it home and eat with a metal spoon. It makes it taste different

It totally makes it taste different! I can only eat Nathan's fries with the little red fork, too. And same thing with Sarku Japan- I prefer to eat the chicken teriyaki off those tiny toothpicks, but that takes too long and I'd probably just get splinters.

Marino's Ices w/ a wooden spoon. I HATE that they don't come in the box and I'm forced to eat it with a metal or plastic spoon. It's just not the same experience.
I don't get why people eat ice cream cake with a fork. It's still ice cream! Use a spoon!

Ice cream with a plastic spoon unless it's Friendly's.
Italian Ice with a wooden spoon.
and while not a utensil, if I'm eating any kind of fast food, I need to use the ketchup packets. I think it's because ketchup needs to be refrigerated & cold ketchup is

ITA with all this. Especially the ketchup packets. Love them. Always grab extra, but don't really eat too much fast food anymore.
Oh, and Miso soup with those big spoons the Japanese restaurants provide. I have one at home that came with a Sushi set and I'll use the spoon for my Miso soup.

haha... DH thinks I am nuts. Any icecream from an icecream shop I must eat with a plastic spoon. It totally tastes different to me if I use a metal one!!
For some reason if its Edy's or something from the supermarket its ok to eat with a metal spoon.

I agree with the soft serve and plastic spoon 100%
I have to eat Sicilian slices with a fork and knife. I can't just eat it with my hands like a regular slice of pizza. It tastes better to me lol
Also just in general I prefer the Smaller spoons and smaller forks... The larger ones are always my last resort in my silverware drawer

I totally agree with you about the soft serve ice cream!!!! Also I can't eat take out from a metal tin with a metal fork ewwwww it grates on my teeth! I need a plastic fork or I simply cannot eat! (which might be a good thing)

I can only eat Miso soup with those fat little japanese spoons they always serve it with at the restaurants. Or, as a last resort, a round plastic spoon. NEVER with regular silverware spoon!
I can also only eat linguini, spaghetti or any other long pasta with a fork with my right hand and a spoon with my left hand. It's just not there same without the spoon!!!

Another weirdo. I actually use baby forks and spoons to eat because it takes me longer. If I am out of my baby forks then I will use a cake fork.
I always use chop sticks for my chinese food.
