Glucose Test @ a Quest location??
Anyone go to Quest for their Glucose test??
i went to Quest for all of my blood work in the beginning and it was a nightmare.. a tiny office & it was so packed with nowhere to even sit/stand without being bumped into [and i made the first appt of the day .. along with 20 other ppl] -- definitely going to go to another location
anywayyyy--- i know most dr's do the test in their office and give you the drink beforehand to drink before your appt. How does Quest work?? are they going to give me the drink when i walk in? or are they gonna make me wait until they finally call me in the room for my appointment? i may have to punch someone if i cant eat or drink and they make me wait longer than i have to lol
please share your Quest experiences & which office you went to if you are in Queens??
TIA

Re: Glucose Test @ a Quest location??
I went to Quest for it back when I was pregnant.
I am in Suffolk though.
You get there, they give you the drink as soon as you sign in- you have to drink it right then and then sit for an hour. Then they call you back to draw the blood. It wasn't bad at all.

It depends on the location. Mine is always empty (not Queens though). Just be sure to put "timed test" on the sign in sheet. They always push me ahead when I do that since I need a specific time.

Re: Glucose Test @ a Quest location??
I went to the Garden City Quest since it was down the block from where I work. I made an appt and signed in, I had to wait about 10 min (they called a few people off the list before they got to me). It wasn't overly crowded though. The nurse took me into the room and had me choose between an Orange bottle and a Clear bottle of solution (both at room temp). I chose the orange because I figured it would taste better than clear... she told me I had to finish the bottle w/ in 5 minutes so I gulped it down and then I had to wait an hour. Once my hour was up, I told the nurse and she took my blood, and that was it!

I went to Quest in Nassau (Garden City) and it was super easy. Maybe you need a different site?
