What paperwork do I need to bring to the hospital?
Do I need ID and my insurance card? I'm already preregistered. They say not to bring any cash/credit cards so do I just leave my wallet at home?
What are you all bringing?

I did my pre op in the morning so I brought my ID and insurance card. I don't remember bringing anything else. I didn't bring my wallet and we left my bag and stuff in the car until I had my room.
I would ask your Dr. I think I have a few papers that were already given to me in a packet from the hospital. They prob want me to bring those in.

Just ID and insurance card. I had preregistered too. DH had his cc just in case we needed something.

You know what? I think those papers they gave me might be for preregistering.
Think of it this way: Even if you forget a paper or two, they won't send you back home while in labor to get them

They said I can bring $10.00 only.
I guess they are afraid of it being stollen.

Just your ID and insurance card. Don't worry, they'll give you tons of stuff to fill out before you leave.

The hospital probably doesn't want to be responsible if your cards walk away.

I preregistered at North Shore and when I showed up in labor they didnt ask for any papers, they just brought me up to labor and delivery.

I delivered at Southside in Bay Shore, all I needed was my ID and insurance card. I requested a private room and had to pay for it with a credit card but DH did that.
