I don't know from experience, but I've heard women lose their mucus plugs shortly before going into labor. Could it be that?

I know!!!! And the worst part is i spent 3 hours at the obgyn on Friday to find out i pee'd myself!! UGHHHH.
Hope baby doesn't come today..really want to spend the whole day with DS....After today, she can come whenever she wants!!!!!

Don't worry too much. You can lose your mucus plug and go into labor later that day OR weeks later. It's not a true indicator of the onset of labor.
Point in fact, I lost mine at 38 weeks and am almost 41 weeks pregnant now!

Not to be contrary, but this isn't really the case. Mine had blood and I lost it over 2 weeks ago. I immediately looked it up and lots of sites all said the same thing - that it Can be a precursor to labor, but it could be weeks before you give birth. My OB confirmed.
