Sharp, Shooting Pains
I am having quick, sharp, shooting pains in my vagina. I am only 26 weeks. Is this normal? Everything I read online said this usually happens at the end of the third trimester as it is the cervix preparing for delivery. This has me extremely worried. I am going to the doctor late next week, so I will ask her obviously, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to call before then. So, does this happen to anyone else? Do you know why or what it is? The only other symptom I am getting is severe back pain. DD is kicking very low (I think she is in breech position) so is it possible that she could just be kicking a nerve or something? Please share.

Re: Sharp, Shooting Pains
That was me on Friday morning while I was getting ready for work. (Im 24 weeks) It went away when i laid down - but the second i got up it came back.
Called the doc's office...the PA said that it was normal, & mainly because the baby is getting bigger...More than likely they are sitting on some nerve ending.
