if you had/will have a c-section

If you take regular medication did you take it the morning of the section? They told me to fast and no water or food after midnight, but my ob office said don't take my regular med that morning (synthroid) and the nurse at the pre admission testing said to take it with a little water after I brush my teeth....

I'm also on synthroid. I was told that if I take it regularly at a time of day before I'm supposed to be at the hospital, take it at home. If I'd ordinarily take it at a time when i'd already be there, they will administer there.

I was told nothing at all, even water, for 6 hours before my c/s. So I didn't take my blood pressure meds, since I can't swallow the pills without water.

The doctors and nurses at the hospital told me that I should have taken my meds, with the tiniest amount of water.

I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.
