Will I look like a moron in the maternity store?
I'm only 13 weeks and not showing at all, obviously. I can still fit into my regular jeans but they are getting uncomfy when I sit and I just hate having anything on my waist. I bought low waist maternity jeans online but they only had one size bigger than I need, so they just keep falling down. I need to really try stuff on in the store. I don't want to buy bigger regular jeans since I won't be in them long.
I just don't want them to think I'm just a fatty looking for stretchy waist pants at the maternity store since I don't look pregnant.
Does anyone know if DM and that other store (I forget the name) has 16/18 in the store?

Not at all! I remember the feeling of not being comfortable in my normal pants. If you want to go buy pants then do it. One suggestion though... Try a belly band and see if that will get you through a little longer. I remember bought a pair of maternity jeans early on and they didnt last me through my pregnancy. I also bought a belly band which helped me stay in my normal jeans longer and then I bought some more maternity pants that were slightly bigger and with 5 days left till my due date I still fit in them. It saved me a lot of money.

Re: Will I look like a moron in the maternity store?
I tried the belly band I hated it. It keeps rolling and just looks weird. I've been zipping half way and tucking my jeans in then wearing longer shirts to cover. And I've been pinning the maternity jeans but in just 5 minutes out of the dryer, the legs and butt are all bagged out, so they are just too big. I'm sure they will stay up better once I'm actualy filling them out though. I don't mind buying another pair later on. Right now I want the low waist ones and later Ill need the over belly ones anyway.

Definitely go buy a pair then, you want to be comfortable. I wore the full panel ones my entire pregnancy and I liked them throughout but it's all personal preference. I know some people who didnt like the full panel at all and only wore the low cut under belly ones. Have fun shopping and dont worry about what anyone thinks

Thanks. I never actually tried the full panel. Maybe I'll try them on. Do you scrunch it down or wear it up even in the beginning?

I wore it up even in the beginning but you could fold it over so that it goes under the belly. I would try on the different types and see what is comfortable for you. At this point in my pregnancy I am really glad I have the full panel b/c some of my shirts arent long enough now and I know that even if my shirt rides up a bit my belly wont show.

Re: Will I look like a moron in the maternity store?
Buy a bella band!!!! This is what I got when I couldn't fit into my regular jeans/pants anymore but was a little too small for maternity pants.
As for looking like a moron, absolutely not!!!!!! I went in and bought pants at 12 weeks (I started showing really early and had a little bump this early.) But my bump wasn't noticeable enough for others to see but I still didn't feel judged. They were all so nice.
ETA: Oops!!! Didn't read where you said you hated the band lol. Did you get the bella band or a different brand? I loved my bella band and have heard this is the one to get. As for the full panel pants, I second this. All my jeans and pants are full panel and they are really great - gives you great support, too.

I got the one at Target. I don't know if the size is correct though because it said one size for my size but then larger for twins. But, it's not like I'm showing for twins now. I'm not sure if it means it's too big or too small when it rolls down.

Whenever I go to DM I see women of all shapes and sizes, some don't look too pregnant yet but everyone is just happy & excited in that store.

Definitely go in there. Might as well buy some now and get more use out of them than waiting until you're further along and then first spending the money!
I agree with old navy! But their clothes run pretty short (I'm 5'4 ish and their length is perfect on me). But my favorite maternity pants are from there! I wear a large and was a size 12 before getting pregnant.
I can't stand full-panel stuff. I also bought a bunch on CL from someone selling a whole lot of clothes. It was a helpful way to increase my maternity wardrobe quickly.
BE COMFORTABLE!!!!!!!!

GO ahead and buy them. You m,ight be wearign them longer than you think. Each person is different but I wore mine for weeks after I had the baby. I lost my baby weight within 12 weeks but my stomach was very slow to lose.....at 19 weeks I still have a belly where I lost weight everywhere else.

I bought a bella band and also hated it. I got the correct size, or at least i thought, and it always rolled down and I was just having to adjust it ALL THE TIME. it was so frustrating having to worry about it everytime i sat down and got back up and sat back down again, that I just got maternity leggings and stuck to those LOL.

This was my thinking when I got myself a pair of maternity jeans. At first I was thinking I shouldn't bother since I'll only be really big during the summer months since I'm due early October. But then I figured it might take a while for my belly to shrink so I expect to be wearing those jeans in the fall and winter. I felt funny buying them at around 14 weeks because I wasn't showing either but I'm so glad I got them, they're so much comfier than regular jeans!

Re: Will I look like a moron in the maternity store?
dont be silly.. i was in there earlier than 13 weeks due to a belly to begin wtih. I didnt look pregnant, but i was so comfortable after buying them. So worth it. I still have issues with the butt and legs being too baggy, but they fit my belly and that is all that matters..
