You know what I don't want to hear at 33 weeks?
"Wow, you look like you could go any day now!"
Gee - thanks, but I still have a little more than 6 weeks to go, so...basically I'm just gonna get even bigger I really just don't want to hear about my size anymore. Don't people have anything else to say to me? I am not just a pregnant person - there are other topics of conversation we can have. Or, how about just say nothing to me today cause I am not in a good mood anyway. K, thanks!

I know exactly how you feel, I'm 34 weeks and I wanted to swing at 2 people last week that told me - one said, "are you sure you are even going to make it another 6 weeks? you're getting really big!" thens someone else said it looked like "i was eating for a week for lunch"
people are a-holes!

Re: You know what I don't want to hear at 33 weeks?
UGH it's like no one realizes how ignorant their comments are b/c they assume ALL you want to talk about is pregnancy and they can't think of anything better to say! I am only 15 weeks but already showing and now it's ALL people at work talk to me about. I actually snapped at one guy I worked with who started talking to me in baby talk when I said I wasn't feeling well the other day he said "awww what's a matter wittle baby making its mama sick?" I actually replied to him "please refrain from referring to my pregnancy again from now until October", yea it was one of THOSE moments I think he got the point! I felt bad afterwards and told him I don't want to be treated any differently, I'm your co-worker who HAPPENS to be pregnant, I'm not just a pregnant person lounging around here that everyone has to treat with kid gloves. Sorry for going off on a tangent, but these comments really strike a chord with me, and I can only imagine what I will be hearing once I'm 30+ weeks!! Sorry you work with idiots too!

Re: You know what I don't want to hear at 33 weeks?
I can't believe people.
We went to lunch with the in-laws yesterday and when MIL saw me she said "you don't look THAT fat". I replied, "Did someone tell you I looked fat?" and she said "no. but I'm just surprised. I guess you are carrying all in the front.".
First off, I'm not fat. (or "that fat" for that matter). I'm pregnant. I am 25 weeks and have gained only 14.5 pounds. Secondly, why is she surprised exactly? Did she just assume I was going to be a big, fat blob who carried my weight like a tire? Apparently so. It really upset me the entire day.

I don't know how you girls don't snap back at people. I know I won't hold back. Once I'm showing and getting obnoxious comments, I'll be sure to share my nasty comebacks with the board.

I think co-workers are the worst! You see them everyday, and some of them feel the need to make a comment EVERYDAY. I have been told several times that I am not going to make it to my due date...when I was under 30 weeks. Now I'm 34 weeks and I get some comments that I look great, and some comments that I'm ready to go. Just shut up! Well, unless you think that I look great...then please, keep talking!

Re: You know what I don't want to hear at 33 weeks?
I'm 33 weeks also I've had 2 people in the last week say that there is no way I am going to make it another 6 weeks... that I look like I'm carrying twins..."I can't believe how big you are"... and my personal favorite--- they question the date of conception and claim that I am lying. (LO is a honeymoon baby so apparently some people think that I was pregnant prior to the wedding and I am lying about it.)

See if I got a comment about not making it much longer when I was nowhere near ready I'd tell them that they better hope they didn't just jinx me since if I delivered now it woudln't be safe at all for the baby.
I can't wait to get the "are you sure there is only one in there" comment from a complete stranger.

oh, he is!! I work with a bunch of weirdos, it doesn't help that I work for a "young" division of the company and I'm pretty much the first pregnant person in this department, like ever! So, you have all kinds of socially awkward people here who will be offending me on a regular basis for the next 5 months!

Only 12 weeks. I'm sure I'll be super large and very agitated over the summer with the heat. I hate stupid people and being pregnant has made my filter dissapear. I have ZERO patience for people lately.
I'm bracing for when we tell my DHs extended family next week. I just have a feeling his grandmother will tell me to watch my weight or something dumb. I'll be sure to tell that I haven't gained a pound in the first tri so my Dr isn't worried and she shouldn't be either.

Re: You know what I don't want to hear at 33 weeks?
My own boss looked at me after a very long day (and swollen feet) and said..."In my day we called those cankles.". Yeah, thanks! Some people are just ridiculous.
