Drinking milk before ultrasound
I have my Level II today (we're doing another one since DD did not want to turn around)
I remembered my friend telling me she drank milk before the ultrasound and the technician scolded her because her amniotic fluid was cloudy because of the milk.
I was wondering if this was true, I just bought a chocolate milk and really want to drink it. My appt isnt until 630pm tonight.

I never heard of this. If you're really concerned call and ask. I'd just drink it.

Just crashing, but I never heard of this b4 either. For both boys there was no issues.
I did have some OJ with one b/c I heard the sugar wakes them up and they move around a lot.
Oh, and b4 every appt I had to pee in a cup so my bladder was always empty for the ultrasound.

I never heard this either. It doesn't make sense. What you eat doesn't get filtered in the amniotic sac. You digest it and the nutrients go through it. If that were the case that it was really an issue wouldn't they be telling everyone not to drink milk before a sono?

i was just thinking the same thing.
Thats what I thought too, but i just remembered what my friend said and thought all your ladies might have an answer to this. I drank the chocolate milk any way
