Registry Ques (convertible carseat)
I have decided to register for the Britax Marathon 70. My friend suggested I register for 2 convertible carseats. This seems greedy to me. What did you do?

I registered for one infant and one convertible. I wasnt even going to register for the convertible just because of storage issuses, we were just gonna buy it later on when we needed it... but then I realized that DH will need a carseat for his car so we might as well put the convertible in his car since infants can go in it as long as its rear facing.

We only got the infant seat for now and will buy the next step up when we need it. Styles and safety regulations change so often and I didnt want to get a seat that would be out of date when we need it.

I did for 2 and we got both but, had to return one since it is only front facing and I didnt want it to expire before we really got use out of it.

Definitely register for 2, as long as you have room to store them. Use the completion coupon if you don't get it as a gift.

I would not register for a booster seat. You cannot use it until DC is at least 4 years old and most car seats have an expiration about 5 or 6 years after the manufacture date.
OP, I'd register for 2 convertible car seats since I assume you have 2 cars. The worst thing that could happen is that someone doesn't buy it and you end up getting it yourself.

I didn't register for convertible carseats. DD was in the infant seat for a year so over a year would have passed on the expiration date. I bought one when I needed it.
