3 week old wont sleep in his crib?? suggestions??

DS slept fine in his crib the first week or so home but the past few days he will get very fussy and cry when in his crib even though he was just sleeping great in my arms or bouncy. At times it seems that swaddling helps but other tmes it doesnt. He likes the bouncy but @ night i wont let him sleep in it because he is in his own room and i am paranoid of him alone strapped into something. We have a cat so we keep DS in his own room so the cat cant bother him. We did & still do the same for our DD who is 2.5. Any advice on how to help ds sleep in his crib? Ps- i will not let him sleep. In my bed due to fear of rolling on him.

Maybe he would sleep better elevated? Do you have a FB rock and play?

My DS wouldn't sleep flat since day 1, and preferred being on his side. I started using the rock and play and he did much better in there. He also had reflux so I don't know if that was a factor.

Same exact thing happened to us. He was fine in crib first week home and then not. Once he started throwing up a little in his crib we got nervous and wanted him elevated a little to help with that. We decided on putting him in rock and play in his room with the video monitor on him. Felt a little strange doing it at first but we really wanted him in his own room. It's going great. In a few weeks we're gonna try some naps in the crib to see how it goes. Good luck!!

my baby just now started sleeping in his crib well at 4 months.. around 2.5 months I think it was when we finally bought the rock and play sleeper and he slept well in that until now.. before that we had a lot of sleepless nights (which is normal in the beginning though but maybe we would have all slept sooner with RnP sleeper, never know)

I got the rock n play today!!! Thx!! Of course he slept during the day in the crib but we shall s ee 2nite!
