When did you have the Glucose test
I had mine at almost 7 weeks.
I'm wondering if I went to early. But they gave me the prescription for it. I am high risk for diabetes (both mom and dads side) and my blood levels were pre- diabetic a couple months prior to getting pregnant.
ShouldI expect to have to do this again?

I've been wondering this as well.. I'm a plus size preggo and someone recently told me that if you're overweight, they do the glucose test much earlier?

I'm also high risk because I'm plus size, my a1c was elevated (still not diabetic though) and my mom and sister both had it and my mom is now diabetic. They are testin me at 14 weeks and he said if I'm fine I don't need to do it again until 26 weeks.

You'll probably have to do it again unless you test positive then you'll follow the GD diet and be monitored for it.
I think it's usually around 24 weeks.

i had mine at 28 weeks, then had the gtt because i failed theone hour by 2 points.I just did thethree hours this morning

im 7 weeks now and she wants me to go now, i assume because plus size to begin with. i did tell her that i had a physical 2 months ago and i tested negative for diabetes but she didnt say much about that. i assume i will go again at the routine time that most go

I think it would depend on what your Dr wants to do. I was very overweight my last pregnancy and I started out slightly overweight this pregnancy. With DD I didn't do the glucose test until like 24 weeks and this time it hasn't been mentioned yet. I think it has more to do with your tendency toward diabetes and your family history.

I have to take it early too. My dad and maternal grandparents are diabetic. I'll be 11 weeks at the test. Weird, but last time I didn't have to take it until I was 24 weeks. It's not like my medical history changed, so I don't get it... but GD is not worth messing with. I expect to have to take it again in late 2nd/early 3rd tri.

They told me 27 weeks. I think I had it at 25 weeks w DD.

Generally, it's taken between 24 and 28 weeks. If you have risk factors, you may take it early and if you pass, take it again later in pregnancy. I have friends who took it around 9-12 weeks and then again between 24 and 28 weeks.
