Internal & Mucus plug?... Might be TMI

I went for my appt yesterday and they did an internal. She told me I would probably have some bleeding although with my last internal I did not. I was bleeding a little yesterday and still today, not a ton so I am not concerned. Just wondering if this could still be from the internal or if maybe I am losing my mucus plug. If you bleed after your internals, typically how long does it last for? Also, if you lost your plug, how soon after did you go into labor? I know it can be days or even weeks but I am wondering what the norm is.

I started losing my mucus plug on a Wednesday night... I lost it in pieces over four days or so and then went into labor that next Tuesday in the early morning. I did not have any bleeding until the morning I went into labor though.

I had an internal on 4/18 and was told I already lost my mucus plug. Been on modified bed rest since, but baby is still cooking. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I[ve had 4 or 5 internals and never bled, but after my last internal last week, I had a bit of spotting that evening. Then the next morning I lost my mucus plug (with blood). So maybe it was a coincidence.

Lost the mucus plug on Thursday, had another internal that day (don't ask lol) and I was still 100% closed up with no progress. I am still very much pregnant!
