coming home outfits
what do I need? I want to do something simple. Like a onesie and receiving blanket. what else do I need? are socks and a hat essential? should I have pants to put over the onesie even if I will use a receiving blanket? I am SO clueless!!

Re: coming home outfits
I'm just planning to use a onesie and a sleeper over it. The sleeper is newborn size so it has footies and hand mits. I'll use the hat from the hospital if i need, but it'll be May so I may not need it

Re: coming home outfits
We kept it pretty simple... we are team so we picked out a girl and boy onesie. Plus, it'll be June, so we didn't want too many layers or anything. I'm obsessed with the girl one- got it at Macys, it looks like a dress, but it's a onesie.

Re: coming home outfits
For DD, I had a short-sleeve onesie, footed pants, and a jacket with a hat (it was January). Here's the actual pic of her ready to go home from the hospital:
The hat is the one they gave me when she was born.
LOL she's swimming in it. My tiny little baby girl.
Since it'll be October this time, I'm going to have to plan a few options. I'll probably do a one-piece footed sleeper (cotton) this time with a short-sleeve onesie underneath. Newborns have a hard time regulating their own body temp at the beginning so I want him to be warm enough but not sweating.
I will definitely have a nice A&A blanket with me. Probably one of the bamboo swaddler ones I've been eyeing and drooling over lately.

Re: coming home outfits
My son is still in the NICU so we're not sure when he will be coming home but my sister just bought his coming home outfit. We got him a lightweight sleeper with a sports theme with a matching hat and mittens

Re: coming home outfits
I have a pretty flowered onesie with snaps and a matching hat. I also have a beautiful blanket in case it's cold in May.

Re: coming home outfits
I'm due in June so I bought a long sleeve front snap cotton coverall with matching hat. I'll bring a blanket just in case but I don't think we'll need it since it'll be June.
