I did Ballet, Tap and Aero during my years there. I always made it to photo day if were close in age we might be in some of the same pics. lol

I was in dancing school from the ages of 2 - 17. I did tap, ballet, jazz, and lyrical. The last 4 years I did only pointe. I love ballet!!!!
I went to Queens Dance Academy/Dancesation and my last 4 years were at Robert Mann Dance Centre.

Yes, I remember Kenny. I am 30. I did those ballet/tap combo classes at first, and then jazz for a year & then I was in the ballet company from about '87 to 94. I always went to picture day too, my parents were friends with the photographer.
I know you don't live on LI anymore, but my parents still live right near there. Norma passed away in 1999, but her daughters run the school & it has moved to a bigger space in the same strip.

Ahhh you went to Great Neck. should have figured we would have had to run into each other at some point if you went to Robert Mann.

my Mom made me choose between dance and playing field Hockey in 7th grade- the plaid kilt won over the tights
I wasn't very good- it was a big scadal when I got to share the lead in the x-mas pagent we did my last year- ( I shared it with the best girl in the company- she was ******- she had just lost out the part of Clarrisa on Clarrisa explains it all- and then I had to share the lead with her- it was worth it)

i've been dancing now for 23 years, I've been a dance teachers for the past 7 years. Went to a performing arts HS and them went to University of th Arts in Philly on scholarship. Dance was my entire life.

I did I did! I danced for 15 yrs ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and even point for a few years. I went to LA Dance Studio in Lindenhurst/Massapequa. I really miss it!

I did ballet, tap and jazz when I was very young and gymnastics from ages 7-13. I felt so bad for my family b/c the recitals were torture for them..lol
It was fun though, and I can only hope that one day I will have a little girl who will want to do the same.
