Feet Swelling
Any tips?
I've tried elevation, soaking them, reducing salt, increasing water and they are swollen enough that the skin feels so tight almost like I got a bad sunburn.

Re: Feet Swelling
High-Potassium Foods The APA recommends women eat high-potassium foods to help reduce swelling. Because potassium is often flushed from the system by diuretic medication, women given a prescription to cope with pregnancy swelling should get an extra amount of the mineral. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, foods highest in potassium include sweet potatoes, white potatoes, tomato paste and tomato puree, white beans, clams, halibut, yogurt, carrot juice and prune juice. These foods all have at least 10 percent of the recommended daily value for potassium. The portable banana, another high potassium food, offers about 9 percent of the potassium you need in an average-size serving.

Re: Feet Swelling
What the above poster says is correct, just talk to your doctor first. Too much potassium is bad for your kidneys.

Re: Feet Swelling
i totally agree with the above post..
i find when i slip a little on a meal that i will pay the price the next day.
i try my best to plan lunch and dinners so it wont happen, but i do slip! STINKS!!!
it also depends on where you are in your pregnancy - i know at the end, there is really no hope!

Re: Feet Swelling
Try compression socks, drink more water and just elevate. My feet were swollen for. A while and then I switched from my flats to sneakers and I find the constant pressure on my feet I could actually see the feet I once knew
