Now 10 days late!
This pregnancy is never ending! Had another BPP and NST today and baby is perfectly happy where she is. I'm only a fingertip dilated and 50% effaced. Uggh. I've pretty much given up hope on going into labor on my own at this point. They'll induce me late Sunday into Monday. I just really hope I don't end up with a long drawn out induction and then a c section. 
I've been a really good sport (at least I think so!) but definitely disappointed. I'm just tired of waiting now. Okay, end of vent.

you poor thing. I am almost 37 weeks and seriously think I am going to lose it if I don't deliver in the next 7 days. The very thought of being late brings me to tears.
At least you have only "three sleeps" until you start the process...that's how I count things when I absolutely can't wait for something to come.

Thanks ladies. I actually haven't felt bad thank goodness. It's mostly just the waiting that stinks.

Sleeping is rough some nights so this is how I think of it too. Although I go back and forth between that being not so bad and seeming like forever. Not to mention, if they induce it will be a rough first night in the hospital trying to sleep before things really get going.
Almost there though.

42 weeks is just their standard. I was happy to hear that way back when I first heard it since I really wanted to avoid induction, but what good has it done me! Especially with a first baby, they hold off inducing since it can be so long and lead to a cs. They said they won't go past that since it's risky, but as long as the baby is healthy they'll go close or to 42. They've been doing sonos and monitoring me twice a week since my due date and baby is doing perfectly.

I feel your pain. I was 11 days late with my son who by the way is almost 10 years old  . I remember it like it was yesterday.

I'm sure! At the doctor yesterday, the NP told me she was 3 weeks late with her first! Glad they don't do that anymore. Another nurse was 10 days late with 2 of hers. I knew this was possible but I think I was in denial that it wouldn't happen to me.
Two more days...well really 3 but getting closer!

holy crap you are still pregnant! i can only imagine how uncomfortable you are. honestly i'm sure your induction (if it comes to that) will be successful at this point. i think the rate of c/s from induction is higher the closer you are to your due date (or before your due date)

Thanks, I hope so! I just imagine her being 10 pounds by now. The doctor's keep brushing me off and saying her size is average but what is average for a 42 week baby?! I keep looking at her newborn clothes and thinking about how she's probably growing out of them at that very moment!

Haha she will be fine. They are generally not THAT far off with weight estimates. Will be thinking of you and checking for updates!

Have you tried accupuncture? That can bring on labor naturally. I'm due on Sunday and going for an appointment today - hoping it works!
