Re: Carrier

Carrier... Think you mean that thing you wear... Right?

If so, yes I think that's a redic price but I also neve priced them out bc my friend gave me 2 of her baby Bjorne's that she no longer needs.

Re: Carrier

I have a Bjorn but I got it for free from Step SIL,

They have cheaper versions than the $179 one that I think are perfectly good.

Re: Carrier

That is a ridiculous price if you ask me.

I had a Baby Bjorn, but it was a little over $100.

Re: Carrier

We registered for a britax carrier that was $120... I found that to be on the higher end price wise so $179I seems excessive. I think the normal range i have seen is $80-$120ish.

Re: Carrier

I'd get an Ergo or something similar as opposed to the Baby Bjorn. I hated the Bjorn. It killed my back once DS was about 15 lbs (4 months old).

I loved the moby for the first few months but now we mainly use the ergo. It is comfortable, doesn't strain your back and it is supposed to be better for babies hips (compared to other carriers like the Bjorn).

Re: Carrier

OK, just going to let you know with my first DD I went a little nuts - so I got the Bjorn (it was alot, can't remember how much) I used it like 3 times and then loaned it to a friend, never to be seen again. So, now having my second, I am getting the Chicco for like $50. You just don't know if you will or will not use it. I remember my back hurting so it was hard for me to use it.
Just something to consider.... HTH

Re: Carrier

I have a Bjorn, a ring sling and an Ergo. I love my Ergo. i never even used the Bjorn with my second. and the Ring sling was good with a newborn and nursing in public but my kids hated to be covered so it didn't last long.
The Ergo is the easiest on your body. It distributes the weight to your hips instead of your shoulders and back. I can wear my 4yo on my back without a problem. He is almost 40lbs and the added weight doesn't bother me. If you are going to use it with a smaller baby then you have to get the infant insert.

Ergo is a little pricey but 2-3 times a year they have it on Babysteals for $80 and the insert is about $25.
