Pre-Surgical Testing VENT
I can't make this up!!!!
After waiting 1.5 hrs at pre-surgical testing the nurse calls me. Nurse "Patricia G........ " me "yes". Nurse "No, I said Patricia G......." me " yes, that's me". Nurse " o' I'm sorry it seems they put the wrong papers in your folder. The papers I have are for a patient having a c-section". Me"yes, that's what I'm here for". Nurse " are you sure? A c-section is a procedure for someone having a baby". Me "Yes, I'm 38 wks pregnant and having a son next week".
I don't know if I should feel flattered, annoyed or really depressed that the nurse just thought I was overweight and not pregnant. She apparently thought I was dumb also when she felt the need to explain to me what a c-section was.

what a jerk! I am sorry ~ I had someone tell me yesterday I don't look pregnant at all (I am 26 weeks and my belly looks like I swallowed a cantaloupe/pumpkin) I guess I just look "fat"...

I would ask for a supervisor. There is NO reason she should have treated you that way. She needs some sensitivity training.
