really hate the mentality of MIL
So Im being induced on Friday YAY....Im absolutely terrified now...but thats for another post
anyway I just found out that my back up crew to take care of dd just had a death in the family and could really make this difficult. I obviously understand that I may have to come up with another plan....more stress
(Just to fill in...dh and I moved OOS so we only have his Uncle/Aunt here...well his Aunts Uncle just died very unexpectedly)
So my back up would have to be a friend I made at my dd preschool....I know she would be more then willing but my MIL answer is just to bring dd to the hospital with us....I told her they do not allow toddlers in the L&D room (which I would never even if they did) she said no DH could wait outside with dd while I had the baby! 
UUmmm no! I told I kind of need my husband...oh lots of people do it without the husband there...I said yes many years ago of if they have no choice but to deprive my dh out of being there for his sons birth is never going to happen....unless there was absolutely nothing else we can do...I swear the women just really has a way of getting under my skin...she still keeps insisting on me sending my dd there for a few weeks....I told her once again that its not going to happen....my dd has never even spent a night at her house (there are several reasons) but to ship her off for a few weeks....she actually did say well you'll have the other one so....

OMG! I think all Mother in Laws are CRAZY!! Try not to let her get to you. I totally understand my MIL is behind CRAZY!

I am in shock and I am sorry to hear she is stressing you out like that instead of trying to help you I hope you find a solution!

WOW that is crazy!!!! I can't even believe she would suggest something like that. I'm sure your dd will have a good time with her preschool friend for the day! Good luck.

If your MIL wants to be so dang helpful, she should fly in and HELP. Otherwise STFU.

uummm she's just an obnoxious MIL!! I say, call in a favor to the school friend. Who knows? You may make a lifetime friend! It could be another family that you & your Dh could socialize with that also have kids, etc.... you never know!
