Being induced Thursday NIGHT?!
I'll be 41 weeks on Thursday.
Going in at 8PM on Thursday.
Anyone ever get induced at night? Does it mean a middle of the night baby or will they let me sleep? I'm glad there's finally an end in sight but now I'm sort of upset it'll be the middle of the night!

the induction is a little different for everyone but I was induced around 7am and didn't have the baby until 10:07pm that night. it can def take a while for the drugs to kick in and the progression to start....good luck on thursday...you'll be a mommy :)

I agree..i was induced..got to hospital at around 12noon, and had baby at 3:15am.

I go in at 1pm on Sunday and will hopefully deliver on Monday. I'd rather go in later, not sure why they have me going so early. They said they'll use cervidil at first and then most likely start pitocin in the morning. I guess they want the cervidil to work overnight. I assume I'll be able to get some sleep but who knows, I have enough trouble sleeping at home!

This! My friend was just induced with the same plan as yours and gave birth the next day. Good luck!!!

no, you won't have your baby in the middle of the night...unless  's got a different plan!
i was told to show up for an induction at 7pm. after checking me in and all that jazz, they had me on cervadil for 12 hours, that started at 9pm. at 9am, they took the cervadil out and started pitocin around 11ish i wanna say. DD was born at 3pm. inductions can take a while depending on how far you're progressed. best of luck!!

Thanks everyone. Spoke to the dr. today. He said they will pretty much hold me off until the AM when he'll deliver.

I went in at around 9:00 pm. Due to high volume of deliveries, they gave me cervadil at 2:00 a.m. Morphine by 3:00 a.m......slept till almost 7 am. Was 5 cm by 10, epidural by 11 am - and delivered DS at 6:30pm.

I was induced on a Monday around 11pm and gave birth WEDNESDAY at 9:44am!!!! Good luck Andrea!!!!

I had gone in for testing around 6pm at the hospital, they finally decided to admit me around 9pm,and give the cervadil they had me sleep then in the morning was able to give me the pictocin. and had the baby at midnight.
