when do you plan on working until?

I was planning on working right through till when I went into labor.

Then I decided to stop on April 13th. I am due on April 18th.

Now I am thinking of just not coming back after easter break. So may last day would be April 4th.

It just seems to get progressively more difficult for me every day. I dont know if its the fact of how short I am (I am not even 5 ft) so it makes it more difficult for me to carry the larger the baby gets, combined with the swelling and lack of sleep...I am trying to be trooper, and thought I would be better than I am towards the end. But man, this is hard!!!

So what is everyone else's plans??????

Depending on how Im feeling... I plan on working up until a week before my DD (5/21)... But Im already slowing down and its not even April yet

I plan on working until I deliver.

If I'm lucky, my water will break at work. My job is closer to my hospital...

Of course, this all depends on how I'm feeling. As of right now, at 27 weeks, I feel fantastic. So we shall see.

I dont have a physical job at all and my commute is 30 mins by car. I hope I can work up until my DD (7/26) but if the dr says its ok for me to leave earlier than I will def take his advice.

I'm due April 10th (tuesday). UIf baby doesn't come early my last day will be next friday April 6th. I thought about working until the baby comes but the commute is really wearing on me and I'm nervous about going into labor during a commute or at work in the city when I have to get to NJ.

Besides, the week I return 12 weeks later is 4th of july week so I would lose that holiday if I went out of work later.

I'm SOOOOOO ready to be done! I wouldn't mind if baby comes this weekend and I can start leave early

eta: I wouldn't try to be "a trooper" more than you think your body can handle. Every woman's body and pregnancy is different.

I am due 7/8. Luckily, my job is closed the fourth of July week. So, I plan on working until 6/29, which will be a lil over a week before my due date. If I don't deliver by my due date, I won't be going to work when they open again on the 9th.

i was planning on working till the very last minute. That way, i can maximize the time I get to be home with the baby when he/she is born.

I keep joking with my team that I will be working until at least a foot or arm is halfway out of me. :)

I do plan on working until the very end to max my time with the baby as PPs have mentioned, though I do think I will work from home those last two weeks to ease the physical burden of coming in to the office every single day.

I was planning on working until the very last minute, but I don't know if that's possible with GD. Doc said I might have to be induced earlier depending on the size of my little princess.

I think this decision totally depends on what type of work you do, how far your commute is, if you've had any pregnancy complications, etc. Everyone's situation is different so you have to do what's right for you.

My due date is April 9th. I sit in a cubicle all day and haven't had any pregnancy complications. But I do have a long commute so I'm not comfortable working past my due date. My planned last day is April 4th.

I am planning to be in the office up until a week or two before my due date and then work from home until I go into labor.

I havent thought about this. I'm due oct 5 and I work nights as a nurse. Bad hours and physical job. I guess I will see how I do.

I plan to work until I give birth. I have a good set up at my job though, so working from home is an option for the last few weeks when commuting becomes an issue.

i plan on working as close to my due date as possible. I dont plan on leaving early since it is unpaid to begin with. we will see what happens as the date gets closer though.

I'm taking off 3weeks before my csection on 4/23, my last day is Friday

I have a very physical job, on my feet all day and lifting heavy items. I just can't do it anymore :(

**knock on wood** I plan on working right up until the end. Ive been feeling pretty good this pregnancy, especially towards the end. My belly is not that big so I am not in that much pain..I usually start feeling tired and achy towards the end of the day so if decides to stay in there up until the end then I will continue to work until then.

My job puts u out a month before your original due date. So my original edd was 10/25, so 9/24 will be my last day of work. (My due date since changed to 10/23, nbd). We get paid during that time and it's time the job gives us, its not out of our accrued time and u cant save it until after the birth if u want to work longer, its non-negotiable.

My plan has always been to work until the end... but I have to say this past week alone (I am now 27w5d) by back and legs have been killing me, getting out of bed is a real ***** and I'm just feeling all around uncomfortable. With that said, for most of the day I am in the office so I can walk around and stretch so I really can't complain.

I'm gonna "wing it" and just keep trucking. Also, my maternity leave won't be paid and I cannot afford to take more than the 12 weeks, so I really want to make sure that all of that 12 weeks is with LO.

I plan on working right until I go into labor, as long as everything remains okay healthwise. I don't get paid leave, and I want to maximize every minute I can have with the baby.

I am due wed april 25.... I plan on my last day being thursday april 19 bc I wanted to be there when my kiddies take the state test.... it's getting so hard now (at 36 weeks), esp with the physical demands of my job -up & down the stairs all day with my class, constantly having to be up & moving around, squatting down almost on the floor to open lockers sometimes, even holding the heavy textbook teacher manuals while I teach is causing me to get out of breath!!! I will see how much I can hold out but as I get closer, I think monday, april 16 might be the last day for me. I will see how I feel & what my doctor says.

I worked until I gave birth wtih #1 and plan to do the same with #2

I felt very much the same way. I planned to go to the end, then a week before, and finally just stopped yesterday with two weeks to go. I'm a petite person, had a lot of swelling, a long commute, and often didn't sleep at night. I think you can intend what you want, but it's impossible to predict how you will feel from one day to the next. If you need to change you mind, don't feel bad about that. Do what's best for you.
