DH used to treat you like a princess.. Massage your back, massage your feet... cook, clean cause you were pregnant.haha... I feel like with #2 he is like you are fine do it yourself. You dont need help you are fine ugh MEN!!! HAHAHAH

I have the opposite this time. DH didn't really 'get it' last time. This time he is very attentive and rubs my feet gently. But if you remember, I nearly died last time and had 6 subsequent postpartum surgeries. So I think he understands the importance now.

I said the same thing to dh the other day! With my 1st he would massage my feet without my asking. I asked him for a back massage the other day because I was in terrible pain & he sighed at me like "really?" Don't get me wrong, I'm lucky - he is great & does TONS of stuff, but at 35w I'd love a spontaneous massage or a "No - you sleep in today. I'll get up with the kiddo." lol

i guess it all dependso n which number the dh is on. I dont get that now with my first. He doesnt get it. Doesnt understand why i feel the way i feel. argh!!

I'm feeling good. But I felt good the last time too. Just going with the flow.

I have to say DH gets very protective when I'm pregnant. As soon as I found out (at 3.5 weeks) he immediately didn't want me lifting anything or doing too much around the house, even though I tell him I'm very capable of doing things myself, lol. As far as pampering goes, I guess if I asked him to, he would but I usually don't.

yeah dh was never that great with the pampering even with #1 but there was some kind of effort....this time nope
althought Im down to the last few weeks and now he at least gives dd a bath and help pick up all the toys on the floor most nights...I just cant keep bending down anymore!

Now I'm getting even less help than usual  My dh didn't put ds down for his daily nap today, so when I came home from work exhausted I had to be the bad guy & try to get him down (2 hours later than usual). After a 15 min chase around the house because the yawning sleepy kiddo didn't want to nap, I threatened to throttle dh if he did that to me again lol

#2 I got zippo. I complained about it enough for 4 years that #3 was awesome. Every night DH would massage every night.

I read this thread (pre-weirdness) and informed DH that he was supposed to be doing all these nice things for me, since I'm PG with #1 (and went through a hell of a lot of IF to get here)...I don't think it worked. Granted, he's helping with more stuff in the house (when directly asked), but there have been no massages or special treats!
