Please tell me it gets better...

I had a mis back in Sept. and am now so happy to be 6.5 weeks...We ad our first sono on Wed, heard the heartbeatChat Icon and all is well

But with this said, I am SO SO SO scared. Every time I have a doc appt. I have the worst anxiety that things are not going to be ok. I am constantly looking for signs, and just want it to be better....has anyone had to deal with this, and when did it get better

Thanks ladiesChat Icon

I wish I can tell you it get's 100% better but..... I am 29 weeks and still get concerned. We concived twins via IVF and at 6 weeks baby b stopped growing but the sac did not. Baby a is now 29 weeks and doing well from what I know but I had some bleeding issues at 6 months and again this week. For me, I just keep praying and standing on God's word. I try to push my feelings aside and remind myself that the worry effects the baby.
Take it day by day and remember you are alot stronger than you think. And when the moments of joy come, which they will, capitalize on them to overshadow the worry. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Please tell me it gets better...

I agree with the above post as well... I did experience a previous loss and I was nervous a lot before Dr's appt's especially... I would do the same thing look for signs and then I would talk myself off the ledge and tell myself Im being crazy LOL... I know it doesnt help, but its completely normal and your not alone... Im now 21 weeks and I still get nervous...

I dont know what your beliefs are, but if you have faith in God, have faith that its going to be ok... Pray if you need to, if it makes you feel better. Find something that gives you reassurance... Whateva that something is... And honestly dont do anything that doesnt make you feel comfortable. Im EXTRA EXTRA cautious... I dont care what anyone thinks...

I also remind myself to be happy and experience ALL the joys of being pregnant... This is the most amazing experience in life...

Like above, take 1 day at a time and youll get through it before you know it...

Thanks so much ladies. I do have faith that it will be ok. I'm just sad bc I feel like I am not as happy as I should be bc I am so nervous. I hate that. I was so happy after the appt that things were good as yet that didn't last long at all!!! I just have to try and say positive. Happy I get to post here thoChat Icon

If you heard a hb already that's a very good sign. I was nervous too until our 11 wk sono which we just had yesterday... I was anxious to get to that magical 2nd trimester mark. So far so good and saw the hb and everything so I feel loads better. Not that I'm not going worry anymore but I know now the chances of anything have gone WAY down and just trying to enjoy the rest. :)

I 1000% understand how your feel. I had a m/c in May and it was so hard to relax with this pregnancy. For me, to be honest, the only time I really started to feel a sense of relief was when I started to feel the baby around 20 weeks. Even then I wasn't totally relieved because it wasn't consistent. It's a very very very uneasy and difficult feeling to get past. You will get there but it just may take a while. Chat Icon

I am in the EXACT same boat as you. Every day I analyze my symptoms trying to figure out if I'm still pregnant. We're only a few days apart in our pregnancy so I can't tell you whether it gets better or not but I can tell you that you're not alone. Women without prior m/c are worried their whole pregnancy so it's only normal for us to be analyzing everything. Chat Icon

I am almost 26 weeks and I still get nervous sometimes. It gets better, but doesn't go 100% away. Every week is a huge milestone, especially in the beginning. Hang in there... Seeing a heartbeat is a great sign!!!

I'm in your boat. Had a MC this fall and now I'm 9 weeks. It's very scary, I have posted about it here so many times and the ladies on here make me feel so much better.
I went for a sono last week and by the time the OB came in to check me my hands were freezing cold and I was starting to shake because I was so anxious . But asa I saw/ heard the heartbeat I was fine .

I know it's easier said than done, but try not to stress, stay positive and keep telling yourself everything will be fine.
I keep telling myself whatever is meant to happen will happen and there is nothing I can do to change it other than take good care of myself and do what I need to do to make sure the pregnancy goes well.

Just hang in there , everything will be just fineChat Icon
