Do you ever worry
the baby will be ugly?
I know all babies are beautiful, but what if my baby is funny looking, or worse, ugly??

yups! sorry but i do. cause i dont care what anyone says but some babies are ummm verrrry alienlike and dont quite grow out of it.
i am afraid i will have a hairy big eared google eye baby that looks like homer simpson.
and i worry this bc i believe in karma and i think the man above would get a giggle out of this!!! ghahahahaa

I don't think you would know it even if your baby is ugly, every mom thinks their baby is beautiful, even if the rest of the world thinks the baby is not so cute

whats funny is that when your baby is born, you think its the most gorgeous thing you have ever seen, even though most newborns look, well, strange. a month or two later when their faces fill out and THEN they become the most beautiful thing you have ever seen, then you look back at the newborn pics and see what they really looked like!!

Well this is my second so I will comment about my first. My DS was born and was fine but a few weeks later developed such a bad rash/ baby acne all over his face. It was really bad. Can't say he was too cute at that moment I will admit. I'm sure others agreed. Then a month or two later his face totally cleared up and filled out and it was like a completely different baby. Then he was just beautiful!! So you never know. Many babies have to grow into their looks. 5-6 months is usually when they really fill out..

I'm super worried about this. I'm known for saying that not all babies are cute...some definitely are but some...not so much. I just keep thinking that karma is going to come back to me!

I am pretty sure I made a similar post when I was pregnant
My son was a very cute newborn. My daughter... well she looked good in professional pics but that's about it. She grew into her looks quickly though and they are both very good looking kids now, I think.
I have to say, I've never seen a truly ugly baby, they all have at least one redeeming and attractive quality!

I do but then think that since I'm the mom, I will think the baby is the cutest baby to ever be. Everyone else will think I have a screw loose.

Yes, I do worry about this. Luckily DH and I were both really beautiful babies (I know, I am biased, LOL). However, I probably will be the first to admit if my baby comes out looking funny. I'll probably make a joke about it.

I was so worried about this the first time around. MIL has really brittle, afro-ish hair and DH would have the same if he let it grow out. I was sooo afriad my kid would come out wth a huge afro
Luckily, DD got my hair and is really beautiful, so i'm not worried this time around.

OMG... I was worried about it with my first bc DH is a bit goofy looking. Somehow she came out looking 100% like him. I stare at her sometimes and think "Where am I? Is this the mailcarrier's baby?" Except I carried her in my own belly so obviously she is mine.
And yet even with her having SO MANY of DH's features which tend to be stronger then mine, she is the most beautiful thing I've ever laid my eyes upon, and I'm not the only one who things so!
I am sure your baby will be the most beautiful thing ever!
