pls remind me when do we find out sex?
my mom and sister are coming to visit for 2 weeks in a few weeks, I'll be around 15-16 weeks. As I remember they do an ultrasound at 16 weeks and I'd like mom and sis to come with me so we can find out together . Is this around the time they tell you the sex?
I don't remember when we found out with my first

I didn't get a sono at 16 weeks.... So we found out at 20 weeks. Not sure when everyone else found out. Good luck!!

Both pregnancies I never had a sono at 16 wks, just heard the baby's heartbeat on the Doppler. Found out sex at 20 wks sono

They took a guess at 13w and confirmed it at 16w

The Dr I work for tells patients at 12 weeks if they are sure. If not, they wait til 20 weeks. My Dr tells patients at 20 weeks.

I wasnt offered a 16wk sono and the tech refused to guess at my 12 week one  It wasnt until my 20wk anatomy sono that they were able to tell me.

thanks everyone, the only reason I thought 16 weeks is because the nurse mentioned I'll be getting a sono at 16 weeks. But I guess everyone is different, I'm only 8.5 weeks and have been going to my OB every 2 weeks and getting a sono each visit , they are monitoring me closely .
Then I guess 20 weeks it is .
Maybe if I end up going to see my OB around 15 or 16 weeks I can ask him to see if he can tell the sex . I really want my mom and my sister to be with me when we find out

As longas the baby cooperates they can definitely tell you the sex at 16 weeks! Good luck!!!

The Dr. never did a sono at 16 weeks, just took blood and used doppler to hear the baby's heartbeat. 20 weeks is when they can tell you the gender.
