Help stomach virus hit our home

Ds woke up around 930 last night and vomited all over the place. He continued like that until 4 am when he finally asked for water. He kept that down and than had a dry piece if toast all day and Gatorade. About an hour ago he had a handful of Cheerios, some ginger ale and a strawberry. He's been sleeping since.

Of course I started this morning and am still very achy and weak.

What are the chances of tonight going like last night- vomit everywhere or has he seen the last of this virus?

Also what are the chances of him getting this same bug from me or the other 4 family members who have it?

It is a bad bug and very contagious.. But you guys seemed to get a mild version of it.. Watch out for diarrhea next... Just stay on a bland diet for another day or two... Lysol and bleach should help keep it away... clean everything!!!

Sounds like you are threw the worst. We had it last weekend. DD was vomitting, DS had bad diahrea for about 5 days, mommy here got both vomitting and diahrea (lucky me) and DH got nothing. It was horrible, but for DD and I it was gone the next day, she woke up asking for dinner and I just had a massive headache and slept for most of the day. The fact that your DS was eating is a good sign. Feel Better!!!

We have it at our house right now. DD vomited a few times and then started acting like she felt better when the diarrhea hit. She had that for a day and now finally today her stools were more formed.

She refused to eat or drink ANYTHING for 2 days and we ended up at the hospital for fluids.

DH has a sore throat that is resolving and I have already had stomach issues today.

I just keep using lysol wipes on everything!

My husband had it. Felt severely nauseous and vomited violently 1X. Felt weak the next day but better the following day

My son had it the next day-vomited twice, felt horrible, had a stomach ache all weekend. Vomited once agan on Mon then was fine on Tuesday

DD had it last Tues into Wed. She threw at around 5:30 pm Tues night and continued all night long until about 7 am Wed morning. That was the worst of it. She ate very lightly for the rest of the day and was fine by Thurs.

Then I woke up with it Friday morning and DH got it Friday night.

I scrubbed the house from top to bottom on Sat.

I don't think he will catch it again from you, but everyone else might get it so be prepared!

I kept all the extra sheets and towels I had in a pile and slept with DD in our den on an aero bed. And just kept chucking the dirty stuff down the basement all night.

Not fun. But it's usually over quick.

Once you have that strain of virus, you won't catch it again.
So he wont' get it back from you guys.
If not, we'd never get rid of stomach bugs- because we'd keep passing the same virus back and forth from one family member to the next.

I think since he seems better and is eating and holding food down that he is probably through the worst of it.
