discharge or mucous plug?

discharge or mucous plug?
as the weeks get closer to the end i was under the impression that your discharge can increase. how do you know if its increased discharge or your mucous plug?

From what I hear the mucus plug will have some blood in it or a pinkish color...I think

With my first I didn't realize that I had lost my plug until after the baby was born. It was never red or pinkish in color. I had him a day shy of 38 weeks and in retrospect I realized that what I thought was just an insane amount of discharge the week prior had in fact been my plug. My OB said that it's not always colored & it can happen over a few days...

With DS#1 my plug had very few streaks of blood in it and resembled mucus from a stuffy nose/egg whites consistency over a few days. Regular discharge is more watery, may have a white-ish tint.

Oh you'll know! It feels like a blood clot and looks like a mucus one! Gross! LOL Discharge does increase too.

Your mucus plug looks like phlegm, and sometimes has a little blood in it.

I've had clear mucousy dc for about 2+w now and my OB said that's how my mucous plug is coming out. Oh and it smells awful!!!

For me it was a big wad of mucus with blood in it. Gross! I lost it all at once will in labor.
