Bloody nose?

Any one notice that with pregnancy you get bloody noses? This is the second time in a week that I got a bloody nose. I, wondering if this is common?

Normal. Used to be an everyday occurrence for me. It's been a lot better recently but how disgusting right?!?

Re: Bloody nose?

Oh really I'm also on it and that's what I thought it was from. I'm afraid that I won't be able to stop it. It hasn't been bad just scared me.
Thx I feel better. Can you prevent them at all?

Re: Bloody nose?

I'm right there with you. Have been getting them consistently for 20+ weeks...sometimes even 2-3 times a day! I've found that putting Vaseline up my nose before bed really helps. It's gross, but the alternative of the bloody noses is so much worse!

Re: Bloody nose?

Yes! I never used to get a bloody nose, bit ever since my 2nd trimester, I do. They haven't been too bad though, just blood whenever I blow or wipe my nose.

Re: Bloody nose?

Its been happening to me for almost 2 weeks now. Its totally normal. Your body is producing more blood and apparently it makes your sinus' sensitive. Mine are sooooooo dry that the humidifier isnt even helping. Ive been waking up with a headache every single day...

I see blood a lot of times when I blow my nose, but I thought this was because I have forced air heat in my house which tends to be very dry, I didn't think it was related to my pregnancy.

I have forced air too and I never blew out blood until I was pregnant.. If anything I think the forced air made have made the symptom worse, but it still would have occurred... Actually when I went on my cruise a couple weeks ago, my nose cleared up... Im guessing bc of the moist air and then when I got back home, it came back! Chat Icon

Not with this pregnancy. But with my dd I always had bloody noses pretty bad ones too. TMI i would bend down to get something off the floor and it would just be pouring out of my nose. My shirt would be covered in blood. Its normal so dont get worriedChat Icon

Re: Bloody nose?

I had bloody noses with my first pregnancy and had to get my nose cauterized at the ENT.
