Being tall all my life, I've put up with a lot of crap, but it pales in comparison to some of things you girls have heard. I'm shaking my head in disbelief in some of the things that have been said to you guys! People are a-holes! 
In high school, I was regularly referred to as "Baboon," "Beast," and I was called fat, ugly, goonish, you name it.
I'm not too far from 40 and I'm still be mocked for my height.  From comments to people trying to photograph me.  I get super angry and upset for a day or two and let it eat away at me, then reality hits, I put things in perspective and realize how blessed I am.  Like I said, it pales to some of the tragic things you girls endured and how horrible people were to you.

Disgusting! I had one of the LIF members here tell me that I must be "jealous of her because she has HER OWN family" as i'm dealing with IF issues. Classy!!

I do t know if this is "cruel" per say, but it has stuck with me for years. Once DH told me that my legs looked really good in boots because they hide my fat ankles.
After I had DS 2 I was working on taking the weight off, I had put on 52lbs. I was out with a friend ad she was saying to her friend, also a personal trainer, how good I look after two kids. And he made a comment like, I still have some work to do, or something to that effect. I have winced lost all of the weight and still don't like that guy when I see him.

My children were being angels sitting in the front car thing of the shopping cart pretending to drive. He had me in tears.

My children were being angels sitting in the front car thing of the shopping cart pretending to drive. He had me in tears.
I have a soft spot for the elderly but wow that guy deserved to be knocked out!!!!

For some reason it feels really good to get these off my chest, especially when it was times when i didn't confront the person about it.
Relatives told my mom DH is "Really great...for a Jew"..or something like that.

I was overweight in elementary school and some kid decided my nickname should be horse.
Nice. Still remember that til this day.
mine was orca in 5th grade  i was called it once by some low life ass-hole who is likely a nobody today and ill never forget it.
it didnt really bother me then but now i will murder the person who says something like that to my child.

Totally agree. I pray to GOD DD is not bullied but I will tell you if I found out she is a bully there will be HELLL to pay. I refuse to let my DD be a bully to anyone.
And my God reading some of the comments on this thread has me sick Some people really deserve to be punched in the face.
I don't remember too many from childhood but I do remember one from my beyotch SIL. We were all in my house playing Taboo and I was trying to have them guess a word...as a hint I said what does my house need (it needed to be painted we were in the middle of prepping) and my SIL said a cleaning. There were like 10 people there. I wanted to punch that beyotch in the face especially since my house was clean. Ironic that shortly after that I helped her move out of her place and Mrs. Clean had dust bunnies the size of rottweilers roaming all over her place.

I'm so sorry to be reading all of these posts.
It's so sad that no one has a filter. Terrible.

I agree. I would have punched them in the face ( after they put the baby down.) That was one if the most cruel things I have ever heard. And I don't care who that person was. Family or not.

I went through a very awkward preteen phase and I remember in 6th grade 2 girls got the whole class to chant "Fugly, fugly, fugly" at me during recess. We had a relatively close-knit class and I was so hurt by it. This was over 20 years ago and it still bothers me.

I had bad acne in middle school and these two girls used to make fun of me all the time because of it. I didn't understand why, I was so quiet and shy and didn't bother anyone so what was the point of picking on me?
I moved to Long Island in 8th grade, to Massapequa. My mom was broke until she married my stepdad (the reason we moved here) so I was SO excited to get a new outfit from the Gap for the first day of school. I haven't gotten new clothes forever and never from the Gap. I bought regular jeans and a nice shirt. Well little did I know that people here at the time wore those huge bell bottoms over those platforms sneaker things (1998-99) and I had straight legs on. This beeyotch girl came up to me and goes "we don't wear straight legs here" and laughed in my face.
I moved from Richmond, Va in the 8th grade. I was in English class and we were reading a book about the South. The teacher knew I was from the South and yet still said, "when I think of the South I think of people working in chain gangs on the side of the road" Everyone looked at me.
