Diapers!
Just wanted to warn you girls...you will go thru a LOT of diapers! DS wets one every hr and takes turns getting pee on everyone in the house, on the bed, on himself!
He's 2 weeks old and I already went thru a box of diapers (86 count)

Re: Diapers!
Yeah. He's just under 7lbs right now. He is so tiny that it usually doesnt just stay in his diaper.

It's SO hard to know that ahead of time. My DD never fit in NB size so I was glad I hadn't bought any diapers before she was born. The hospital sent us home with a small package and DH just went out to get some while I was still in hospital. I sort of recommend to all my friends to not even register for diapers...or just go with bigger sizes and if you end up neeing the NB size - get it once the baby is here.

There were so many other things on my registry I didn't worry about diapers or wipes even. Honestly this 2nd time around for me I am stressing so much less over stuff like this. I'll be lucky if I have any diapers in the house the day we bring baby #2 home ...and I promise it's no big deal. Steal or ask to take from the hospital to hold you over until DH can run out....and remember there are stores open 24 hrs! I stressed over all this stuff for DD and realize now it's ok to wait on stuff like this. I ended up giving SO many diapers away that we didn't use...not so much b/c I had bought ahead of time but I would buy a few boxes at once...DD grew SO fast she went up sizes so quickly in the beginning. So that's just another little side note - don't buy too much at once.

Re: Diapers!
I wouldn't put diapers on my registry. In the hospital they had my DS in size 1 and he was born 6 9 and left at 6 1. At home we have him in NB and he is 7 8 now. I will probably switch to 1's soon

Re: Diapers!
The nb size is still big on DS i have about 3 boxes including the one i just went thru and hope they will last until hes 6 weeks. I had about 20to diapers from the hospital which did not last more than 2 days .a its a guessing game but u try to be proactive. Also, the boxes give u an idea of the weight they cover.
ETA: I Got lucky i received two newborn size boxes and one size 1 box for my shower.

Re: Diapers!
Yup, I agree! My sister told me not to buy that many NB diapers when I had DS, but I went through so many. I bought a big box and had to wind up going out and buying another box. I forget what count box I bought. I didn't register for diapers either. I just bought a box or newborn and a large box or Size 1. (They are in size 1 for a while).
DS was peeing out of his diapers alot too until I realized to make sure his pee pee was to be pointing down at all times. That helped alot!

I tried all different kinds of wipes in the beginning. I would try a few brands out. I actually love Costco unscented wipes over Pampers or Huggies.
