18 month old twins in a wedding party wwyd

My brother is asking what I want to do for his wedding. Do I want them in it or not? They would be with my 3 year old nephew He thinks they will cute...all I can see is temper tantrums and crying?

Anyone have an 18 mo old in a wedding party? How did it go?
Eta both dh and I are also in the wedding

My 18 month old niece was a FG. She walked with her Mom, my SIL who was a BM.

Grandparents were at the ready to have her sit with them if need be. She was great through the ceremony and photos.

I was flexible and didn't expect much. She looked like a little doll she was so cute.

Her brother who was supposed to be the RB - on the other hand who was 3 refused to even put his tux on. Again, I wasn't going to sweat it. He eventually gave in and danced at the reception in his little jeans, t-shirt and sneakers. Cute anyway.

I figured hope for the best and wing it, what could I expect from such little kids.

It's his wedding so if he's fine with it then I would say go for it!

Personally, I'd say no. The stress of having them ready and making sure they do what they are supposed to do will ultimately be on you...I don't think you will enjoy the wedding as much either...but then again I had a child free wedding....

I say let them do it.... My trio was 2 when they were all in my SIL wedding and actually did great..... we praticed everyday for months what they would have to do it was like a game to them and they had fun....

I say let them do it. This way they will be in the wedding pics. Just make sure he knows that there's a good chance they won't cooperate---at all---during the ceremony, etc.

my nephew, who is a beast , saying that lovingly , was almost 2 at my wedding. He was my ring bearer and he was awesome. We still talk about. I wanted him to walk by himself, but had no problems if he wanted to walk with my sister, the MOH. She handed him the ring pillow and said pretend this is a pizza and bring it to daddy. My BIL was waiting at the end of the isle for him and he DID IT! He ran his little heart down the isle. It was adorable and great on camera. I loved every moment. I wouldn't have had it any other way.

I say go for it! They will understand and be so excited in their dressy clothes. And if they don't do it, chances are you will get some pics and that's life.

Oh and he was so good at the hall taking pics before the party. He had a lollipop and hammed it up for pics and hung out. He got introduced into the room with everyone else, danced for a it then a sitter came and took him home!

my DD was 15 months old when she was a FG for my friends wedding.. she did great... her nephew was 18 months old.. they walked down the aisle together.

if he wants them in the wedding i saw go for it

DS was 20 months when he was ring bearer at my brother's wedding. He did fine.

I had DH stand with him at the back of the aisle and I was up front with his favorite toy waiting for him.

He did great! I say go for it.

i think my dd and my twin niece and nephew would have loved being in a wedding at that age.

Thanks for all of your input...it is nice to hear that a majority of the kids did well I will do whatever my brother wants so we will see.

One of my flower girls was 18 months and it was sooo cute!! Do it!!!!

DS was 20 months old when BIL got married. He threw a slight fit right before we walked down the aisle, but he was fine once we started walking down (I held his hand). He wouldn't sit still during the ceremony, but I walked around with him.

DD will be in my sister's wedding at 20 months old. She and I are walking with DH. It'll (hopefully) be fine - and if she isn't, my sister understands.
