I was just like you! I actually got teary eyed when i found out i was going to have a boy and not a girl....If you do have a boy and not the girl, you will be amazed how much it doesn't matter once their in your arms...my DS is now 3.5 and i absolutley LOVE having my baby boy. I love doing all the "boy stuff", and he is such a mamma's boy!
I'm having a girl now, and i am very happy, but if they told me i was going to have another boy, that would have been just fine too.
Could have written this myself! I now have a DS and DD and it is wonderful. :)

I really want a boy. I only have sisters and really would love to give my dad a grandson.
Of course, I have a DD and another on the way!

I wanted a girl so bad the first time. When we found out it was a boy I was shocked because we all thought girl. It took awhile to digest but seeing how ECSTATIC my DH was took away any disappointment!! I have never ever seen him that happy, he had a permanent grin for days. He never led on to having any preference but he obviously wanted a boy, lol. I am so happy that I gave him his boy and I feel like the pressure is off this time. My Son is the most amazing little human I have ever met and I feel honored to be his Mama.
This time again I really want a girl. I always wanted a boy and then a girl. Either way will be great and I feel like you get what you are meant to have. That being said I will probably mourn the idea of having a daughter since this is probably our last.

I wanted a boy first time around & had a DD, like all said, it really doesnt matter, once that baby is in your arms ... then #2 came & when it was a boy, oh how the pressure was off bc my hubs now had his son so now with #3 ( well TTC) I am in a win win bc someone is getting the same sex sibling, I go back & forth to what I want, if a girl, DD can grow with a sister, I feel like girls share such a special bond with each other however boys really are so much easier, less drama!
so we will see what is in store once #3 is on the way!

I've always wanted a girl. Part of me didn't care what I was having with my first pregnancy since I knew we wanted 3 kids, but another part of me hoped to have a girl. When DH told me we had a son, I cried. I was so happy to be a mom. I didn't care about the sex of the baby at all.
I love having a son. After he was born, I couldn't believe that I had really wanted a girl. I'm so glad I had my little boy. There's something really special about the mother-son relationship.
Sure, I'd love to have a girl one day. At the same time, if I have more boys like DS, I'd consider myself very lucky.
